When researching to buy a dehumidifier, I needed one with a pump. I found delonghi which meets my needs of relatively affordable, easy to use/change settings and easy to install and setup. Setup to working was less than 5 minutes from boxed to dehumidifying. All in all a great product to date. (I didnt even have to read the directions...)

Trouble with Parts
Strengths: The pump feature is fantastic
Weakness: Cannot obtain replacement parts.
Delonghi will not sell parts to consumers, only to licensed repair technicians (or so they say), however even Sears Appliance Repair does not list this unit and cannot obtain parts for it. The water pump in mine broke after 18 months of service and now I cannot find a replacement.

Question: How does the pump feature work?
One reviewer on another site said you have to manually pump out the collected water by pressing a switch - can you reply?
