The rebate advertised on the box actually comes!
Company's advertised rebate is actually honored, uses AAA batteries, uses test drum (instead of test strips), lancet device attaches to unit
May be too bulky or heavy for some people
Posted 1 year ago - Since glucose meter rebates are so common, I think it's important to point out that this rebate does come in the mail. Although it takes awhile, the company does honor their advertised offers. It also comes with a few coupons for test strips and lancets. The retail kit includes a glucose meter, a detachable lancet device, 1 test drum, control solution, carrying case, and instructions. The unit is a bit bulky (about 4.5" x 2" x 1"), but this could be good for older patients who have a hard time handling the smaller glucose meters. On this unit, the lancet device slides into the side of the unit so there's less chance of losing it. Another bonus is that it includes a test drum in the kit. Since it uses a drum, that means less hassle handling little test strips. Also another good thing is it uses standard AAA batteries. If you don't test your blood glucose away from home a lot, this might be a good choice, since some people might think it's too heavy for traveling. It does come with a nice strong case.
