babsbini - (August 11, 2008) At $100 (Aug 2008 on RitzCamera.com), this is an outstanding deal in the 11” digital photo frame segment. The colors of the pics seen in the frame are amazingly bright, and even low resolution pics look great on this screen. The musical playback is great feature, though I haven’t found a way of turning it off. It can give a surreal or nostalgic effect depending on your pics. The interface is simple, with minimal buttons. Its capable of reading almost any kind of media including USB stick, compact flash cards, MMC and SD cards. With an internal memory of 128 MB and almost unlimited external media memory, one can literally enjoy their entire life’s albums on this beautiful digital p

redhead225 - (April 11, 2008) The manual, box or any other marketing promotion or document does not say this but you can store only up to 500 pictures in this frame. Had I know this I would not have bought this frame (bought also a 2GB memory card for it which, needless to say, I can use only less than 1 GB of). Customer support says firmware is not upgradable. Basically: Element made me spend more money than I needed to on unused memory, and my grandma can see only 500 pictures instead of over a thousand. I would not have bought it had I known that. Now that I know this information and this product limitation, which is not published anywhere, I would think twice before buying anything from "Element" or "SmartPartsProduc

jhjm08 - (March 15, 2008) This frame has a really good picture. As a graphic artist I am very picky about my pictures. I have to admit I was impressed. Very easy to use. I do wish the frame came with internal memory but I have so many memory cards it's not a big deal. It does ship with an USB cable to connect to your computer if you want to drag and drop your pics to the frame.

JimBtechie334 - (08/17/2009) I like this frame. Has so much more then other frames out there. Internet radio and web tv are cool. I also like the scrolling news feeds. I just set up my own rss feed, took a bit of typing on the touch screen keyboard since the RSS links are so long, but once I had it, it worked.

Support is almost non-existent
tmoore250 - (05/03/2009) When this product works, it works well. However, if you have a problem, support is almost non-existent. Recently, I tried to load a card of additional pictures to my SPX8 frame. After a reasonable period, it stated "Optimization Complete" and entered the slide show. However, the pictures are not on the frame. All that is there are the the pictures I started with. After multiple tries, I decided to use the frame controls to delete all the pictures and start over. I went through the steps to "Delete All" and was presented with a progress bar indicating the deletion was happening. When it completed, the frame entered the slideshow mode, using only the folders page as the image. When the frame was turned off and back on, the original 877 pictures all reappeared. Finally, I connected the USB cable to my computer, viewed the General folder and deleted the 877 pictures there. When I went through the Windows "Safely Remove Hardware" steps and disconnected the USB cable, the original 877 pictures all reappeared. I have called customer support and sent numerous messages. The only reply I received was a voicemail stating they were backlogged and would contact me in 48-72 hours. That was 13 days (9 business days) ago.

Sharonk42 - (04/10/2009) My sister gave this to me as a gift and I loved it while it was working. It stopped working about 3 months after I received it. I have tried going to the photoco.com website and I have also tried numerous times to call using the number provided on the website but no one will answer or return any messages.
