Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Very easy to use, and it has a powerful optical zoom (6X). It handles well, and most controls are easy to decipher. So far, most pictures have come out clear, with good color.

Weakness: The delay takes some getting used to, especially with action shots. It is not as compact as some models. It didn't include an AC power adapter, but it is available.

This is my 2nd digital camera. I like the use of AA batteries, as this was a problem with the 1st camera that I disliked very much. It takes pics comparable to my 35mm SLR, and I can pick what I want to keep and delete. I bought it at Circuit City for $169.99, and even with an extra 64mb picture card, I was out the door for less than $230. I think that's an incredible bargain for the features it has. I would buy it again.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Easy to use. 6X optical zoom. Auto matically eliminates the digital zoom on high resolution. Bright viewfinder. SLR. I like the adapter and 55mm filter ring. A very versitile camera for the money

Weakness: None, consider the price of $169. Not all the options of a $900+ camera, but I didn't expect that.

I am very pleased with the purchase of this camera. The pictures are great. The instruction book is deatailed and easy to read. I am able to use many of the filters that I purchased for my 35 mm SLR.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Easy to use, fits the hands very well, very nice quality pictures, great deal for the price

Weakness: the slow shutter speed may stop you from catching those quick special moments, also there is no manual focus, hard to take good, low light pictures

I got this camera on clearance for a very good price. The camera is lightweight, and is shaped so that it does not feel awkward to hold like other digital cameras. I popped in the 4 AA batteries that came with the camera, and as I played with it, I noticed that even after an hour, the batteries were still running strong. The pictures I have taken so far have been beautiful, except sometimes it is hard to get a good focus in low-light conditions. However, I think that this camera is an EXCELLENT deal for the price.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Very compact and sophisticated looking without the sophisticated price

Weakness: none noted at this time

This is my first digital camera and it was very user friendly, even I had no problems figuring it out. Great camera for the price. It looks very expensive and complicated, but it is not. Great camera out there compared to its competitors.

I would highly recommend this product.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Easy to use; picture quality comparable to SLRs; good set of features.

Weakness: Size is little bigger to carry around; may want to use rechargable battery for cost effectiveness; no AC adopter included.

This camera provides probably the best value in terms of features/capabilities and price. Zoom capability is excellen both in shoot as well as play mode. You may have to buy additional memory card.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Unpackaged the camera and found it was very simple to use. Good instructions and only a few optional settings to learn.

Weakness: Difficult to steady camera and take clean pictures. Probably will take some getting used to. Using a tripod seems to guarantee good quality pics.

Overall nice size and lightweight. Battery life seems ok. Good zoom capabilities for the price. This is the first digital camera we've purchased and once I figure out the blurred pictures now and then I'll be satisfied.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: easy to learn basic picture taking (auto mode) and the optional features just take some time and practice to learn.

Weakness: The electronic viewfinder is the camera's weakest link.

I thought the electronic viewfinder would be a plus, but now I am most displeased with this feature.
In low light situations (where an optical viewfinder would be good) the image was much too dark, so as to be unusable. After readjusting the LCD brightness from its factory (mid) setting, the image in low light was dark but usable but in normal/outdoor light, the images were washed out and again almost unusable.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Excellent feel in my hands. Misplacement of fingers almost impossible. Very good optical telephoto. Instruction manual was very clear and easy to understand and use.Easy on, easy off lens cap.

Weakness: Slight reddish tint to viewfinder and LCD screen. Would have preferred a clearer optical system. Not a big deal.

I've used a Polaroid PDC700 for the last three years. It was my entry level into digital photography. A very basic camera. During that time I had the oportunity to listen to the comments of others who owned very good Kodak and Olympus digital cameras. One of the complaints was that they only had 3x telephoto lenses. I made note of that and made a more powerful lens one of my requirements. This camera has just that. 6x. In 35MM terms that's equivelent to a 228mm lens. The prints that I've made with this camera are as good as the Olympus Camedia 3020 and about $75 lower in price. I bought this camera at a price of $228. The same camera was $300 in Target. I hooked up with electricsam.com through Pricegrabbers and got that 228 dollar price. If this this is a move up from your present digital or even if it's your first, I highly recommend it. It's that easy to use.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: This camera was very easy to learn, I was able to use it immediately. I used it at the circus the next day and the pictures came out great.

Weakness: A little bigger than most digital cameras.

I tried to do research on digital cameras and only got more confused, opened this camera up and was completely satisfied. Definately recommend this camera to beginners.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Great design and excellent pics

Weakness: Slow reset after taking pics and low battery life

This is my 3rd digital camera. With 3.2 MP it has enough resolution for my needs. I paid $208 at Electric Sams. They were excellent and I'm very happy with the camera.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: easy to use and understand for the novice digital owner

Weakness: Would like to see it come with a larger memory card included

This is our first digital camera purchase, please welcome us to the 21st century! We found that the Fuji S3000 was easy to set up and the instructions could be followed. We wanted a camera that had at least a 3.0 pixal capacity along with a "stronger" optical lens than digital. It is a very light weight body and will be easy to carry. the lens housing/ barrel is the largest part. So far it is everything as expected. Thanks!

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Can be upgraded - can add wide angle and telephoto lens. Pretty good flash level. Takes beautiful photo's.

Weakness: Takes a little practice to use. Flash needs to be up almost all the time. Not too good at action shots! Long delay.

All in all, I would buy this camera again and reccomend it to anyone else who is looking to take nice quality photo's and have the ability to upgrade with wide angle/telephoto lens.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Very easy to operate, right out of the box. Great features, which are comparable to competitive products costing hundreds more. Performance is outstanding.

Weakness: Should come standard with a higher memory picture card. Save yourself some time and money by buying an additional card of at least 64 mb at the time of the camera purchase.

I'd highly recommend this over lower priced models for the beginners and a good choice for more experienced hobbyist photographers looking for performance and versatility in a moderately priced product.

For people with a good 35 mm SLR, the operation of this camera is very similar and makes a good addition to your camera quiver.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Nice pictures & colors, great 6x zoom, uses AA batteries, easy to use

Weakness: Poor low light focusing, pictures not very sharp, not too many manual controls

Great beginners' camera. The 6x zoom is fun to use. I thought the picures were not as sharp as on the Canon or Olympus cameras.

An AF illuminator would have been a great plus on this camera. From my point of view, its greatest drawback is the not so great results when shooting in dim lighting. But the quality may still be ok for a lot of people.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Good grip; 6X optical zoom; professional look and feel; easy features.

Weakness: easily consumes battery power; short USB cable;

This is my first digital camera after a thorough study and review on how to buy a digital camera. The 6X optical zoom makes a lot of difference compared to any feature that you can get from a 3.2 megapixel camera. Forget the digital zoom, it does not make so much of an advantage. The grip is important for most picture taking shots are done quickly with a grab and with one hand holding the camera steady while your thumb and index fingers busy manipulating the control. Overall, am satsfied but I need to study its manual mode. I am more of creative photography.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Relatively easy to use. Menu prompts for various tasks. Easy download on the computer. Doesn't come with a case or DC out put. Need to buy rechargeable batteries. Be careful the menu will say delete all and if not paying attention you will delete all pictures saved on the camera.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: 6X zoom. Easy to use

Weakness: Can't delete pictures while in camera mode. Must be in view mode to delete.

I'm very happy I bought this camera as my first. It takes good looking pictures and is easy to use. There are 2 things I would want to change about this camera. I would give it the abuilty to delete pictures without going into the view mode and I would add sound to the movie mode.

Love It, Love It, Love It

Strengths: Easy to use and great value for the money.

Weakness: Haven't found any yet.

This camera is so easy to use, and the factory settings are perfect for a novice photographer. I actually enjoy taking pictures now. The pictures come out with true colors. The shutter speed is perfect for taking pictures of young ones who won't sot still too long.
