4 Star Review COOLPIX L6 Digital Camera

Strengths:

A good point and shoot camera. Many useful features.

Weaknesses:

When using a standard speed memory card, writing an image to the card can at time be show. We upgraded to an Ultra II high-speed card and have no concerns now.

Posted Apr 1, 2007 - This is a good quality mid-level point and shoot camera. The camera has many features to help take and create high-quality photos. We have used the video clip capability to take quite a number of very acceptable short video clips - although it is not a replacement for a quality digital video camcorder. We would recommend this product if you're looking to spend less than $200.

4 Star Review A very good Point to shot camera!

Strengths:

Small light and easy to carry, big LCD screen, Very good picture quality

Weaknesses:

Slow focusing response, takes long time to write photos

Posted Mar 3, 2007 - This camera is one of the best with quality to price ratio. It has a slim design, small and light, easy to carry around. The LCD screen is pretty big. It takes two AA batteries which are easy to find and change when you run out of battery. The picture quality is very good, with low noise level. It has auto focusing function but the focus time is long. It can also remind you the picture is blured. SD memory is used which is cheap. Love this camera.

4 Star Review Great camera for the price!

Strengths:

Good pics, easy to use, very compact!

Weaknesses:

Not as many color functions as some cameras.

Posted Feb 14, 2007 - Got mine from Best Buy (on sale 2/13/07)! Great camera, highly recommend for beginners and people who love to have a camera with them for great moments. Very easy to keep mobile. Havn't been to impressed with the software yet but have only had it a couple of days!

5 Star Review Aweome camera

Strengths:

Sleek design, rugged body, easy to use.

Weaknesses:

low optical zoom

Posted Feb 6, 2007 - The COOLPIX L6 is a flexible tool, delivering excellent performance under any set of demands. The ISO sensitivity with settings up to ISO 800 makes it possible for the photographer to shoot pictures in lower light without having to use a long exposure. The camera is able to intelligently adjust images in order to achieve optimal results in any set of conditions. By simply selecting one of 15 Scene Modes most closely corresponding to the scene at hand, the COOLPIX L6 is able to automatically choose the best settings for the optimum results. Four of these handy Scene Modes also feature a Scene assist, which helps users to achieve better composition.

4 Star Review Nikon L6 Camera

Strengths:

Size - Small Weight - Lightweight

Weaknesses:

None that I notice

Posted Dec 23, 2006 - This camera is not bad for the price I paid ($151). It uses double A batteries, so I do not need to worry about recharging. I also like the size of the camera. It fits easily in my hands, without being too small.

4 Star Review Beginner's Camera

Strengths:

Small size, enough flexiblity for a beginner and room to grow. Nice LCD. Good price.

Weaknesses:

No stabilizer or viewfinder.

Posted Nov 25, 2006 - I did not expect this camera to have all of the bells and whistles of a $300 or $400 camera and so it did not disappoint me. The person using it will be a teenager who will be involved in a school photography class. I felt it was a good value for the money.

5 Star Review Easy to carry and sharp as they come

Strengths:

Light, portable, sharp pictures

Weaknesses:

Strictly point and shoot, no viewfinder

Posted Feb 7, 2007 - I bought one of these for my son for Christmas and immediately borrowed it and didn't give it back. Finally I just got one for myself. I have a Nikon SLR that does all kinds of artsy things but I can't throw it in my purse and go on a bus or plane. I love this little camera. I don't even miss the viewfinder, although I did at first. I was going to get an L3 but the shipping price on those kept going up, making this the better buy in the long run.

4 Star Review Great picture quality for an affordable camera

Strengths:

Affordable price, great picture quality, multi-mode for scene shot, big LCD screen, long battery life

Weaknesses:

Take a long time to focus and write into memory

Posted Apr 11, 2007 - This camera is one of the best affordable point-and-shot cameras. The size is very small and it is portable and light. The LCD screen is very big so you can clearly see what you are shotting. The best I would say is the picture quality, with low noise, sharp and vivid colors. The only thing I complain is that it takes longer time to write a picture, in the order of 2-4 seconds, which is longer than other cameras I used. But overall it is a very good camera.

4 Star Review Nikon COOLPIX L6 Digital Camera

Strengths:

Easy to use, Light weight, Nikor Lens

Weaknesses:

slow to focus and shoot

Posted Mar 22, 2007 - This camera is not as slim as Casio Exilim camera or Canon's SDxxx Camera, but still quite portable. And it uses two AA batteries so no need to buy expensive rechargeble battery. But it's a little sluggish to take a shot.

5 Star Review Best 6MP I've seen

Strengths:

Fantastic photos, easy to hold, takes SD cards, short learning curve

Weaknesses:

none

Posted Mar 15, 2007 - I've tried 6MP cameras from Olympus and Kodak and found this to be better by far. My prime concern is picture quality, and this Nikon delivers. Bright light, low light, doesn't matter. Point, shoot, enjoy. With the cheap cost of SD cards you can't go wrong buying this camera.
