Strengths:Online tech support/chat, easy to use software, small camera size with big LCD screen, perfect photos (not grainy or blurry), can delete photos either on camera or with one-touch transfer to computer.
Weaknesses:SD memory card slot and USB cable outlet located in the same compartment (would prefer these to be separate), recharging the battery requires the whole camera to be on the docking station.
Posted Sep 5, 2007 - I started looking at new cameras, because my Kodak EasyShare CX4300 (3.2 megapixel with no optical zoom) was becoming outdated. It still takes beautiful pictures, but I wanted more features. The Kodak EasyShare C533 fits the bill. It has digital zoom and a 3X optical zoom for close up photos. It has a self-timer, so I can be part of the picture, too. There is video capability for those action moments you don't want to miss.
I borrowed my friend's Canon Powershot A630 for a few weeks, because I had read rave reviews about Canon. I was not impressed with the camera. It was bulky, overloaded with complicated features, pictures were grainy and dark at times, e-mailing photos was complex due to resizing, and I never did figure out how to delete photos from the camera.
For half the price of a Canon, the Kodak EasyShare C533 and printer bundle is well worth the money. You won't be disappointed in the quality of photos or the simplicity of use. The Kodak handbook is only 17 pages of instruction on 5x5 paper, which is mainly photos showing how to use the camera. Taking and sharing great photos is easy with the Kodak EasyShare C533.
