Nice camera at a good price
Strengths: 5x Zoom;
Good performance without flash
Weaknesses: Plastic body;
No viewfinder;
Lens stays extended when viewing photos
Summary: This is a very nice camera, especially with the 5x zoom capability. It takes much better photos and movies in low light than my old sony camera. The movies are VGA quality, and you can change the zoom during the recording of the movie. The plastic body makes it seem not to sound structurally, so I would be very careful with this not to drop it. Also when viewing photos in the LCD display, the lens stays extended, so be careful. It looks like it is not a camera to let little kids handle. Takes 2 AA batteries, so naturally you will want to use rechargeables and have some extras and a travel charger with you when you use it on vacation.

Kodak Z885
Strengths: easy to use and good price
Weaknesses: software must be used to load pictures from camera
Summary: It is very easy to use. intuitive menus and features. good color and auto adjustments. nice in-camera feature. relatively compact. The LCD screen has a relatively low resolution. Another thing I do not like is the software. It is very slow. Overall, it is a good camera at this price

8 MP Digital camera
Strengths: 8 MP at very low price
Weaknesses: Does not give error message when it cant read the card
Summary: Bought it for $129.00+tax. Good price for a 8MP camera with 5x optical zoom. So far, used indoor and few shots in low light sunset. Picture quality is pretty good. Only issue I faced was, that the camera was not saving pictures onto a 2GB SD card I formatted on a PC. Weird thing was the camera was not even giving me any error message. I snapped few picture and noticed the remaining was stuck at 799. I had to use the format card in the camera to fix this issue.

Acceptable performance for the price
Strengths: High MP count good for pictures that will be blown up to poster size. 5x optical zoom is higher than typical in point n shoot cams. Outstanding user interface.
Weaknesses: Casing is particularly flimsy & cheap feeling. No viewfinder. High ISO rating seems inflated. LCD res is below average.
Summary: I bought this camera for one specific purpose: a cheap point n shoot that has a very high megapixel count for printing out poster-sized prints. It fulfills this function very well. It has the added bonuses of being extremely easy to use (others in my family can take good pics with it) & its 5x optical zoom is great for amateur wildlife photography when I don't feel like lugging an SLR w/ lens around.
Otherwise, the camera's case is particularly flimsy feeling, its low-light picture taking capability is below average, & the LCD resolution is below average. No optical viewfinder is a pain in sunny conditions when the LCD screen is difficult to see.
I'd only recommend this to people looking to be able to take high-res pictures and/or have 5x optical zoom in a relatively inexpensive camera - but it performs these tasks very well.

Kodak Z885 Digital Camera
Strengths: Fast startup, crisp image, large lcd, longer than average optical zoom (5X), and easy to use functions
Weaknesses: 2.5" lcd has lower than average resolution, camera a bit bulkier than the v600 v700 series fm kodak. hallow and flimpsy plastic case makes the product seem cheap.
Summary: I like the product features vs sales price ratio. This camera offers a lot of functions and features for it's asking price. The various shooting mode are easy to access and understand. The better than average zoom lens is a welcome plus. Not to mention the 8.1 mp ccd giving you lots of options when taking a picture. Personally i use the 5.0mp mode to save some spaces in the memory when i'm taking sports/ moving shots. If the object is not moving and i'm using a tripod, then i would choose the highest setting.
Check it out, for the price this camera simply can't be beat.

good camer at decent price
Strengths: 1 8M pixel
2 decent manual operation
3 composing frame is helpful
4 bracelet exposure is useful
Weaknesses: 1 high iso is a joke
2 no manual input with Image Stabilizer mode
3 Aperture is only available on 2.8,4.8 8.0
Summary: a good 8M camera which can print excellent resolution pictures of 14*11 inches with a price below $100. good for who occasionally use manual mode and mostly rely on smart scenes. over all. good for the price.

I love it !
Strengths: Ease of use, love no view finder, nice big screen, excellent pictures
Weaknesses: lens stays out when downloading pics and viewing pics, red eye feature is useless
Summary: This camera in my opinion is great! I think it is costructed well all the way around with the exception of the lens staying out when downloading and viewing pics. I have never known a camera that totaly eliminates red eye and this one is no exception. I didn't think I would like not having a view finder but I was wrong. It is so easy to use and takes the most beautiful pics. A bigger memory card is a must as with any camera. Regular batteries for digital cameras work very well if you can't afford a charger. You won't be sorry if you buy this camera. There is no camera in my opinion that is going to do everything you want but this sure comes close!

Cheap and Best - Kodak Z885
Strengths: 5x Zoom, Easy to use,User Friendly.
Weaknesses: Low LCD resolution, poor case.
Summary: Nice camera with 5x optical zoom and very good price (Got it for $110).
Performs very well in low light conditions, far better than SONY T series cameras.
Re-chargable battery would have been an added benefit.

an affordable DC for daily using
Strengths: price
Weaknesses: size
Summary: I bought the Kodak z885 in a sale, so the price was one of the best advantages of the camera. For regular daily use, the resolution of the picture and the speed of generating a new picture are at an acceptable level. As digital cameras nowadays become more and more portable, the size of this one might be a little big to carry in pocket.

A good camera for a low price
Strengths: 5X zoom, High 8 megapixel resolution, low price and use normal AA battery
Weaknesses: No viewfinder, LCD resolution is low and perform not very well in both low and high light situation
Summary: I bought this camera when it was on sale in circuit city, and I am pretty happy with it since I only pay about 130 dollars including tax for a 8 MP digital camera with 5X digital zoom. the pictures and videos taken by this camera are in good quality, and everything else seems in good except very few weakness, such as no viewfinder, and LCD works not very well in very bright sunlight and very low light situation. all in all, I rate this camera 4 star and highly recommend it

Nice compact digital camera
Strengths: 5X optical Zoom with 2.5''LCD is great feature for a compact digital camera like that. Plus, the cost is afforadable.
Weaknesses: LCD resolution is not high. Its performance under low light is not ideal. The shell could be more sturdy.
Summary: I bought this camera at $129.00+tax, very happy about its performance. The 5X optical zoom is a nice feature and works pretty well. I wish it could do better job in low light surroundings.

Good Camera. Excellent price.
Strengths: 8 MP and 5X zoom at a good price.
Weaknesses: No viewfinder, which makes it difficult to view from LCD during bright sunlight.
Summary: 8 MP and 5X zoom at a good price. No viewfinder, which makes it difficult to view from LCD during bright sunlight. Other than that this is an excellent camera.

Kokak EasyShare Z885
Strengths: 5x optical zoom
good pictures
sd card
Weaknesses: weight and size but this is probably due to the 5x optical zoom.
No viewfinder.
Summary: I got this camera because my current Canon A540 takes too long between flash pictures. This camera can take pictures rapidly between flashes and so far had done a good job. The video also seems pretty good. The LCD screen is also pretty good, but I wish it also had a viewfinder like my Canon. I would recommend this camera and so far it has done everything well.

Good value for the price
Strengths: High 8 megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom, good pictures, uses AA batteries
Weaknesses: Could do better in low light conditions.
Summary: This is a good digital camera for the price I paid (around $120). The camera has 8 megapixel resolution, has a good 5x optical zoom and digital image stabilization (better than not having any image stabilization at all). Also uses AA batteries which I personally prefer. This camera turned out to be a good starter camera for my children.

Great picture quality but weak power management
Strengths: Great picture quality, especially for low light night scenes. Video recording is fantastic.
Weaknesses: Use battery too fast
Summary: I had a Kodak c360 digital camera, and I love the picture quality of Kodak cameras. I purchased this one from Circuit City after searching its reviews on the web. I prefer its high ISO function so I could take nice picture during night. It has intelligent auto mode function, and all the buttons and functions can be operated easily without reading the user manual. The normal alkaline battery died quickly with 20-30 shots, and the camera heats up quickly. I switched to high power Ni-mh rechargeable batteries and the batteries can last about 200 shots.
