Kodak DX7590

Strengths: Very nice camera

Weakness: Have yet to discover any

I am very impressed with this camera. I bought it online, which was a little scary but when it came in the original Kodak box, all was well. I was trying to choose between the 7590 and the 6490. Read reviews about both and the 7590 won, hands down. The book recommends a tripod for a lot of photos but I do just as well without. The point and shoot technology is tremendous. Some reviews were negative about unclear, blurry, having to remove additional lenses before turning off, but I think those were the people that wanted a $3000 camera for $300. Perfect camera for beginner to intermediate.

Best combination of Money, features, quality of...

Strengths: The best thing i liked about this camera, Smoothness of ZOOM control, which you hardly find in any other camera.Zoom movement is slow and steady.

Weakness: Not yet revealed, but R&D is ongoing :-)

If you are using this camera for the very first time and if you are a beginer in photography then dont forget to increase the flash compensation duing the night time.Otherwise you would find dark pictures with flash in default "Auto" settings.

Hey, thanks for your comment about increasing the flash compensation in low light conditions. So far I have been using my DX7590 mostly with automatic settings, but now I am ready to start experimenting with manual settings. I love this camera, been using since our family took a trip to New York and D.C. in November, 2005. I've been complemented on a few of my shots by professional photographers, and I've even had Walmart refuse to print one of my pictures because they thought it was copyrighted--so I think I'm developing my photography skills. I had one professional photographer tell me that he had one underwater photo taken with this camera published, even though he uses other much more specialized, expensive equipment. I think I'll be able to use this gadget for a long time before I exhaust its features.

A Really Great Camera

Strengths: Ease of use, lens quality, speed, smooth telephoto transition, number of features and modes.

Weakness: after 18 months of use, I cannot complain about this camera at all!

After 60+ years of 35mm photography, the dx7590 is my third digital camera. It is an absolute pleasure to use. I do not have any problems getting 230 pictures on one battery charge. I use the electronic view finder exclusively outdoors in the bright light. The camera's turn around speed is as good as anything I have seen. I am amazed at the detail that I can get on my pictures. It is easily the best camera, not the most expensive, that I have ever used and the results make me feel like a pro. This is the best money that I have ever spent, and I bought the camera at its most expensive time. No regrets, 18 months of fun.Too bad that it is no longer be manufactured. Buy the refurbs. I have reccommended this to several friends. Everyone is happy!

Kodak DX7590

Strengths: Ease of use Great Pictures

Weakness: None

I have used this camera for over a year now & find it to be everything I wanted in a digital camera. I purchased a 1GB card which gives me over 400 shots @ 5 MP. Picture quality is outstanding. Recommend this camera for anyone just starting out because of ease of use for first timers. Camera has a real good battery that holds up real good. You can't go wrong with this camera. The only bad thing about this camera is that it doesn't have any ISO which would be a BIG plus. Over all this is one great camera.

Wow, this is a fun camera!

Strengths: 10X optical zoom, realistic color, variety of tools to help you determine best light, focus, etc.

Weakness: A little bit of an awkward shape for some people, but I don't mind its size.

I researched what camera to buy for a few weeks before I settled on this Kodak DX7590. I've had conformation from serious and professional photographers that this is a very nice digital camera for anyone from a beginner to someone who uses much more specialize equipment but occasionally needs a point and click tool to get quick shots. I really appreciate the 10X optical zoom since I got used to this feature on my Panasonic digital camcorder. I have pretty good luck just staying very still when using the zoom. After several months of using the automatic controls, I'm now ready to explore the various manual controls. Virtually anyone who appreciates the zoom and 5 mp at a great price will like this camera. However, if having a smaller, pocket-sized camera is what you want, you may have to go to something else (and settle for about 3X optical zoom).

DFarley -- Maryland

Strengths: Clear pics; good color rendition; like dock, so far; modes and settings are quite adequate for me, an advanced amateur. Except for the small button size it is very easy to use.

Weakness: Buttons so minute you have to use your fingernails to push. Manual is far too brief, (recycled paper to boot). Umpty languages not necessary...would rather have more info.

This was a definite inprovement to my original DC210 Zoom. The use of a monopod helps with the zoom focus. Am quite neutral on recommending this vs. other makes and models.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: 10x Optical zoom very useful and convenient. Easy to use right out of the box. Perfect pictures very time on auto mode. Powerful flash w/ very good exposure.

Weakness: Software to save pictures into folders on your hard drive may take a while to learn.

I have been using 35mm SLR for 10 yrs+ and was ready for a digital camera but not yet ready to purchase a good/expensive Digital SLR. After several months of research, I decided on this model. I took it for a test run during my 1 week vacation in the Carribeans few months ago and at home since then.

Battery life is limited by how much zoom and flash you use.
Convenient off/on button will allow the rotating mode switch to last longer.
The toggle switch allows you to run through menu options quickly and easily.
Having a docking station (included) is convenient for charging battery and transferring pictures to your computer.
The large LCD screen was helpful but hard to see on sunny days at the beach (I think this is a typical problem of all LCD screens).
I wanted a camera w/ manual over-ride w/ speed and aperture priority. Opening the aperture wide open did not minimize the depth of view as much as I would have liked as compared to a SLR.
This camera has capabilities to add on wide angle lens (about 28mm) and adapter for use w/ filters such as graduated-ND and polarizer (however, I did not have a chance to purchase these add-ons prior to my vacation).
It would be nice to have manual control of the zoom lens.
After 3 months of use, I still have not used all the functions on this camera.

Overall this camera is excellent and offers so much capabilities for its price.
For the novice and average users, I don't think you will ever out grow this camera.
For the more seasoned photographers, I think this camera will allow you to push it to its maximum capabilities while saving up for the D-SLR.

Happy shooting.... :)

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Great picture quality, easy to use, great zoom.

Weakness: Auto focus is a little slow

Went back and forth on what camera to purchase. Had decided on the 6490 but, the 7590 was released as we were making our decision. For the difference in cost, the 5 megapix was attractive. Purchased online along with Epson Picturemate printer and they even price matched other sites. Have used the camera for about a week now, mostly in auto mode. Nice feature is the portrait mode for more close ups. Very happy with quality and ease of use. Internal memory holds about 18 shots in fine mode. Camera picture review and menu are easy to navigate. Very easy to pick up and use without reading manual but, reccommend reading to realize full capacity.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Ease of use, high quality shots, GREAT Easyshare software.

Weakness: Not for "basic" users - works best for those willing to learn the "gadgety" features that make it a great camera. I would like a hand strap.

I purchased the DX7590 as an upgrade from my previous Kokak DX6440 (that was only about 18 months old). My decision to upgrade was based mostly on the AWESOME 10x optical zoom on the 7590. Anyone who wants quality digital pictures (especially family/kid pictures where you can't always get to the front of the gym, etc) will find the 10x zoom the only way to succeed! While the zoom easily outruns the flash, I have found that using a flash in indoor sodium light venues results in dark pictures anyway - but using the auto or night setting without any flash allows the camera to make adjustments that result in exceptional quality photos.

The 7590 allows you to have much greater control over the camera. The separate on/off button allows the "photo selector" dial to be left in the most used position which will definitely result in the camera lasting longer. The separate button to switch between the viewfinder/LCD screen is also a plus. While separating these functions leads to "more buttons" to learn, once you find them you should agree that they make use more simple. Another example of this is the "open flash" button. While at first I thought this an inconvenience (it doesn't ever automatically pop up), I later found that it prevented those inadvertent flash fires I had with the 6440 when the only way to have the flash "off" was to press the flash button 4 times. With the 7590, if you intend to use the flash you just hit the button to open it and then have the same choices (auto, fill, red-eye) as usual.

While the 7590 is not designed to be the smallest digital out there, the increased size is very modest for the features you pick up and any weight gain is unnoticable. The camera is very well balanced. I will be looking for an after-market hand strap to replace the neck strap that comes with the camera.

The photos are very good in my estimation. The Kodak Easyshare software (with a little learning) makes transferring photos, separating them into folders/albums, and printing or e-mailing them (in addition to charging the camera) very simple. Take the time to learn how to organize your photos into folders before you use it too much to save the work or moving them later. Once you find the system you want to use - stick with it. The software will do all the work and you should always be able to find your shots. The time to "store" the image (while it is written to storage and you have to wait to take the next shot) is 1-3 seconds at the highest resolution - which seems to be normal for most 5+MP cameras. The 7590 does offer a "burst" setting which will take 5 shots in quick succession (2 per second) to get around this for situations like a wedding party running out or such that you want to get multiple shots quickly. The 7590 also offers another great spin on this idea where you can hold the button and continually take 2 shots per second for up to 15 seconds (30 shots), and when you release the button it only saves the last 4 shots.

The viewfinder information data is more detailed than I will ever use as is the manual settings available through use of an easy to use dial in front of the shutter button. This camera seems to offer as much opportunity for detail as you want to learn to use. It will however do a fine job of taking basic photos in very high quality while providing the 10x optical zoom that if you have ever had a 3x zoom camera, you always wished you had.

Be careful of some internet resellers who offer the "white box" version of this unit - always be sure you are buying an unopened "retail box" version. This is probably not an issue if you stick with the trusted Pricegrabber e-tailers but it is always important to make sure.

I would definitely choose the Koday DX7590 for a high quality digital camera with great ease of use and more features than I will ever need.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Easy to operate, outstanding zoom, great general pictures, as well as lots of control of detailed functions, outstanding battery life, 3:2 Ratio in case you want to have pictures printed 4"x6"

Weakness: None

I upgraded from the 6490 to this model, and love it just as much as the 6490. I wanted a little more control over shutter speed, and those type of features, as well as the 5.0 Megapixal. I also do a lot of 3:2 ratio pictures, and those are a whopping 4.4 Megapixel. A great camera for anyone who wants 10X optical zoom.

This is my 4th digital camera, and I swear by Kodak. It takes great "everyday pictures" in low light, or bright light....it allows you to just point and shoot if you want, or if you are more familiar with a camera, give you lots of control.

I found the auto focus to be better than the 6490, and it even auto recommends flash if you don't have the flash turned on.

This isn't a tiny pocket sized camera, you simply can't get one that has this type of zoom that small, but it is still small for its size. The 5 Megapixel is more than enough for 8 x 10 picture or larger. A definate upgrade from the 6490 model, for someone who wants a little more control, or wants the extra megapixel!

Some have complained about the lack of internal memory, but get real. It has enough for some 30 pictures, but 99% of you will want at least a memory card (or two). I have a 512 M, as well as a back-up 256 M. I found that I can take around 200 pictures with the 256 meg card. The battery is the same as the 6490, and you can easily get 200+ pictures from a single charge.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Great Zoom and quality of the images!!

Weakness: There is no image stablizer... The pictures are easy to get blurry especially while using the max zoom...

It is almost hassle-free to take a great picture with this camera. I brought it to my bird-watching and by using the 10X zoom and 5 MPs, I took a lot of great close-up pictures. The camera is very sensitive to the effects of the motion. I suggest using a tripod to avoid this problem. Overall, I enjoy it very much!

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: 10x optical zoom; excellent quality photos; very easy to use software; comes with dock; lightweight for size; 2.2" display

Weakness: don't like using lens cap cover...that's all I can think of!

The Kodak DX7590 is an excellent camera. I was looking for a camera with a good zoom and lots of features. I was a little hesitant because of it's size compared to the other ones on the market, but I think the size is actually a good thing. It is really comfortable to hold and lightweight. I am so glad I made the decision to purchase this one!

I can't say enough good things about this camera. It is easy to use right out of the box. I was able to take excellent quality pictures using Auto mode. There are 21 scene/color modes and you can even customize your aperature and exposure/flash settings.

The dock and software it comes with are incredible! You can create albums, send photos via email, and upload photos to ofoto.com quickly and easily. With the software, you can also do cropping, zooming, red eye reduction, and special effects. This camera is well worth the money!

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: 10x zoom - Manual, Auto, Shutter and Aperture priority modes - 15+ other preset modes - less aggressive compression

Weakness: No image stabilization - (in US) can't charge battery out of camera without buying a separate charger

I own 4 digital cameras and 3 35mm cameras. The last two digitals have been Kodaks and I plan on sticking with them. My other Kodak is a 5mp 4530. It is a great point and shoot camera. My 'complaints' with it are only a 3x optical zoom (forget digital zooms), and aggressive file compression.

The 7590 is pretty much EXACTLY what I'd put in a camera, if I were designing one. The 10x zoom is the equivalent of a 38-380mm 35mm SLR lens. It is sharp throughout the zoom range. You have to be steady (a mini tripod is good at 10x), so image stabilization would be the only feature that I'd add.

Kodak has added a 'fine' compression mode, which solves my complaint about the 4530 and the 6490. It isn't RAW, but it is excellent. In the standard compression mode, a 256meg card gives you 159 pictures. In the fine mode, you get 74 pictures. This less aggressive compression gives you sharper pictures.

The Kodak Color Science gives great, vibrant colors.

The camera has a nice size and weight and the controls are in logical, easy to use places.

This camera allows photographers of various levels to use and enjoy it. You can have the camera in automatic mode (it does everything for you), aperture priority (you set the f-stop, it sets the shutter speed), shutter priority (you set the shutter speed and ISO and it sets the f-stop) and manual mode, where you set it all. If you have incorrect settings, it will advise you before you take a bad picture.

Additionally, there are various other pre-sets to save time. Some of these are sports, snow, party, children, portrait, etc. Like all Kodaks, you can turn on the 'instructions', so that as you click through these modes, it tells you what they're for. There's no need to remember what all the icons mean.

Like all digital cameras, you need to half-press the shutter button to let the camera focus. This is critical to take a good digital pictures, regardless of the camera that you're using.

Other minor complaints are:

1. The viewfinder is digital (as are all 10x zoom cameras that I've seen), not optical, so the view is a little fuzzy. But, it self adjusts to the light, so it is always bright. Since all the other 10x cameras have this drawback, it isn't a complaint specific to this camera.

2. In the US, the camera comes with the dock. This is nice for those who don't have a card reader, but it also charges the battery. When you're away from the dock, you can't charge the battery and even if you are near the dock, the battery can't be charged unless it is in the camera, so you can't use the camera while charging a spare battery. I'll buy a battery charger for it soon.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: 2.2" display, 10x optical zoom, ease of use of camera and software

Weakness: No image stabilization, no manual focus, does not do 30 fps movies

I searched for the perfect digital camera for several weeks and finally decided on the DX7590 because the price was right. Look, feel, weight, and design of the camera also were factors in my decision. There are better 10-12x zoom cameras out there, but none that are as affordable and as easy to use as this one. Kodak should've called it "EasyUse". I've taken over 100 pictures thus far and have been very pleased with their quality.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: user friendly, more features than I imagined, big LCD display to view pictures,

Weakness: It is hard to grip it and hold it still, not many other complaints.

I love to take pictures, I am not a professional. I love how easy this camera is to use and how I can shoot the pictures and then look at the LCD and review my pictures and tell exactly what I did. What the shutter speed, aperture, iso is at. It also views for you when you take the picture or you can push that display off of your camera. I like the green light that tells you that you are already to take the picture. The red light when you have a problem. I love the lock feature on the pictures so that they don't actually get deleted. I have come to love this camera more and more everyday. There are still things I am learning about it that I just love. I would recommend this camera to anyone.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Awesome optical zoom, great LCD, all the extra manual and creative control features, great picture quality and resolution.

Weakness: Low light pictures can be grainy or unfocused, we get a lot of unfocused pictures, which is partly user error, but the focus is a little slow sometimes, not the fastest camera (frame to frame)

I previously owned the DX6490 which was also a great camera, but when i saw that they upgraded the pixels on the DX7590 and upgraded the controls and firmware i had to go out and get it. it's a great little camera, my wife and i love it. Batter life is great, manual/creative controls and access to them is great, and the pictures are great. i highly recommend this camera!

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Price, optical zoom, ease of use, multiple focus zones, flexability, camera dock.

Weakness: Documentation very poor. If you have little photography experience, you will need better doc. The proprietary battery MAY make it more difficult to find a replacement when the original quits working.

I would recommend the DX7590 to anyone who wants to take excellent pictures, even in low light conditions. The versatility of this camera allows one to take pictures in almost any conditions. I looked at Cannon and Minolta models before deciding on Kodak. I have a lot of 35 mm experience and I like the abilities of the camera.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Great pictures, outstanding performance, easy to operate and terrific zoom and good control of all on camera functions. good battery life

Weakness: No image stabilizer and auto focus is little slow nothing other than that.

First I bought kodak dx 6490 which is similar to dx7590 but dx7590 has more features and the sutter speed is owesome as well. The on camera 2.2" lcd screen is the most I liked b'cause use can actually see the picture quality and figure more precisely that if you want to keep that picture that you have taken or not. some other cameras that I have seen has so small screen that you can't even see faces in it and the other thing is when you take picture in those cameras with small screen at the time when you take picture the picture looks great on the screen but when you get it printed it will not look as good as it was on the screen but in dx7590 you will get what you see.
The other reason for buying this camera is its 10x optical zoom which was my priority when I was looking for a digital camera. The internal memory is good enough to take 30 good quality pictures. 5.1 mp is a great feature for those who take more professional pictures. An excellent camera for everyday use with the ease of grip and choice of pictures.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Small size, lightweight, picture quality, storage speed

Weakness: Must use the viewfinder, rather than the LCD screen, to frame shots

The Kodak EasyShare DX7950 Digital Camera is an excellent camera. Initial setup was a snap, so I was taking high-quality pictures within the first 5 minutes of opening the box. Everything is included to connect the camera to your PC either using the EasyDock 6000 or the ports on the camera itself. I took sample pictures of stills, poses and full-motion action shots. All of the resulting images were crisp and clear with none of the blurring that is typical with film cameras.

Strengths: I LOVE THE ZOOM AND THE EASE OF USE.

Weakness: THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IS BATTERY LIFE

I REALLY LIKE THE ZOOM IT IS EASY TO USE AND EFFECTIVE. I HAVE ONLY TAKEN A FEW PICTURES BUT EVERYONE HAS BEEN GREAT. I AM ONLY A FIRST TIME DIGITAL CAMERA OWNER, I HAVE USED ONE AT WORK AND THIS ONE HAS A LOT MORE FEATURES. I AM ONE THAT LIKES TO KNOW EVERYTHING POSSIBLE ABOUT WHAT I AM BUYING BEFORE I BUY. THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA. I REALLY LIKE THE WAY THE HANDBOOK EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. I WOULD PURCHASE IT AGAIN.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Easy to use. 10X zoom. Priced reasonably. Great picture quality (very good in auto mode). Versatile. Light weight. Has internal memory, expandable with SD or MMC.

Weakness: No image stabilizer. Can't zoom in or pan out once you start recording in video mode. Video mode is only 12 fps. No display for battery life. A bit bulky. Difficult to focus in low light conditions.

This is an extremely versatile camera that is best suited for people who are interested in taking photography as a hobby but are not yet sure how much they would want to invest in it.

The intuitiveness and ease of use makes it a cinch for rank beginners to be able to get the camera out of the box and start taking good photos, in Auto mode, without having to go through the manual.

For those looking for more, the DX 7590 allows the budding paparazzi to steal shots of the apple of their eyes without them knowing it through, the 10X zoom it offers. Oh, it's great for bird watchers too.

The DX 7590 also provides several preset modes to capture the perfect shot in different situations, like macro, landscape, sport, portrait, night shots (portrait and landscape) and many more. While other cameras also offer these modes, the DX 7590 makes it so easy to access these modes that you could shift very easily from one mode to the next with just a flick of the wheel.

For the serious enthusiasts who are looking at crossing over from film and buying a DSLR, you will be pleased to note that the DX 7590 provides a lot of manual settings that you can play around and experiment with such as white balance, aperture priority and shutter priority. Kodak also offers some accessories to enhance and expand your photographic imagination such as zoom and wide angle lenses and some types of flashes. However, it was disappointing to note that there is no hot shoe. Supplemental flashes will have to be connected through a special connection on the side of the camera.

Overall, the DX 7590, while not perfect, is a pretty decent camera that one will be able to grow with, from simple point and shoot operations to more complex compositions, without having to worry about its being obsolete after a few years.

This is a camera that allows a photography enthusiast on a budget to satisfy his cravings for quality shots, manual versatility, high pixelation, super close-ups, lots of storage options, and ease of sharing with the vaunted Kodak printing network.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Very beautiful completion... appears solid, most compact of big zoom bridge, crush the concurence on all these points... no crippling defects... very general-purpose, very easy to use...

Weakness: Some turbid zones could appear in some pictures. noise reduction and compres could creat artefacts on the full picture, indoor or under low light, with short closure speed, but only visible at 100%

The Dcresource's review is by far nearest to reality that I read of all... and I read a lot of them!
I look at many camera (300d, 8700, Z3, 945... etc...) to take a choice... all have quality and default but I found that the 7590 is the most equilibrated one and for a good price.

For those who think that manual AF or stabilization must be on a camera, I reply that these are fake problems... The 7590 compensate for the absence of stabilization by choosing an adapted speed and AF is enought powerful for the most of curent scenes...

For the rest... is you want some particular pictures (low light whithout flash, effect...) the way is: manual mode and tripod for some... I bought one micro tripod very useful and that can be in the same bag, with the camera...

About the AF for particular effects: tripod> delayed-action option> AF on a fake removable target... and you have your manual one! ;-)

Vincent.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5 Megapixel Bridge Camera

Strengths: Ok lowlight pics, nice smooth pictures, 10x Optical Zoom! Nice Display and EVF, nice camera body, popup flash, batteries are preety good, Decent battery life, Good Lense,. Etc

Weakness: Pricey: Only 3x Digital Zoom, Focus sucks, one custome mode saving, No image Stabalizer, No manual Focus, No manual White Balance, No Bulb Mode, Fastest shutter speed in manual mode is ONLY 1/1000 :(

I have owned 5 Digital cameras so far with The Kodak DX7590 being one of them. I am not a proffessional photographer but I can tell you that this camera does not have enough options even for me :( It takes nice smooth pictures, it has a great 10x optical zoom, It looks slick, has 5 Mega Pixels, and even compression settings but nevertheless I was not totally pleased with it. Why? It ONLY has 3x digital Zoom (for some, Digital Zoom is not a priority but for me it slightly is), It has NO manual Focus (I think the focus on it sucks because in zoom mode it hardly focuses EVER), NO Manual White balance and not enough options for white balance (I think this is GREEDY to withhold this until another Kodak camera comes out. Taking advantage of consumers!), It JAMMED on me 2x in the first 2 days I owned it (brand new from Wal-mart), It ONLY has one custome menu instead of 2-8 like it should (other cameras in the $400-500 range do), NO image stabalizer (images blurr easy with THIS camera), No bulb mode (16 sec or higher), Not a fast enough shutter speed at only 1/1000s as an option! (I'v seen cheaper cameras go up to at least 1/2000s), Aperature of ONLY f2.8-8 when I have seen cheaper cameras have f2.8-11 aperature as a choice, It has ONLY 2-3 Sharpness options available (I've seen cameras in the SAME price range have +5 to -5 Sharpness, +5 to -5 Saturation, +5 to -5 Contrast), Flash exposure can only be set at +1 to -1 (I've seen cameras in the same price range have +2 to -2 Flash compensation). I could go on and on about the lack of options............
Anyhow, if you are not interested in options and want to buy an EXPENSIVE point and shoot camera (Considering the lack of options and weak menu) and have the money to splurge go right ahead. But if you need options there are better cameras out there for your money. Don't get me wrong this cameras is great for a begginer. I enjoyed it until I got bored with it and got tired of the horrible focus. If you're gonna buy from Kodak then go for the Kodak Z590 instead. It has better shot to shot speed (only 1.6 seconds compared to 1.8s), has an external AF (autoFocus), a histogram feature, and an added 2 second timer instead of just 10 seconds as an option. Do your studies Before you buy.

Amazing Buy

Strengths: Great Pics, good in all lighting, quick pictures, great Deal!

Weakness: None

This is a great camera. It takes excellent quality, especially for the size. I am constantly amazed at the shots it can get even when I am in poor lighting. This also has an amazing amount of 'Scene Options.' I highly reccomend this camera to anyone looking for a great deal and some great shots.

Kodak EasyShare DX7590 Digital Camera Review

The 5 megapixel Kodak EasyShare DX7590 aims to satisfy with its SLR-like styling and Schneider-Kreuznach 10x optical zoom lens.
