Weaknesses:

images are somewhat noisy, HD video only 15fps

Posted 1 year ago - This camera can deliver decent quality, if you use it properly. 28mm-equivalent wide angle is a big plus. I recommend reducing sharpness and contrast to address noise issue a bit, but this may only be critical if you print big pictures or crop your images a lot. Controls are quite good. Green button can be configured to serve as Fn and give you quick access to camera settings.

Pentax optio w60 is a joke from Pentax

Strengths:

Dust, sand and waterproof

Almost everything else...

Posted 1 year ago - This camera is almost worst than my Nokia 6500 slide`s camera! Check out the pictures below and see for yourself. Picture # 1 is taken by Canon ixus 50 at 1024x768 and shown at 100% size. Picture # 2 is taken by Nokia 6500 slide!! at 1536x2048 shown at 43% size. Picture # 3 is taken by Pentax optio w 60 at 3648x2736 shown at 32%. All the pictures is taken on the cameras factory settings in auto mode. Compare these pictures in 100% size and see how bad Optio is. I personally think that this camera is intended to be used by kids and kids only, so they can take pictures in water, snow and sand. For your own sake never by this toy of an camera.
