speaklightly - (August 21, 2004) As a professional digital camera lecturer, I must admit that the Fuji E-550 was a very pleasant surprise for me. Priced at about $340, this digital camera produced digital photos that were much sharper, more detailed, and more excellent than I, frankly expected. I found the digital camera very easy to use right out of the box. While this digital camera does have a 12mp interpolated image size available, I found the 6mp native image size to have more contrast, detail and resolution. As you might expect in a consumer digital camera, the digital camera's flash is not very powerful. At 200 ISO it will produce excellent exposures out to 13 feet. By adding a supplementary slave flash such as

snufalufagus1 - (September 24, 2004) I spent a LOT of time investigating digital cameras online -one would think I was buying a car or something. Anyway I am a novice camera user and remain very impressed with this little guy. I would certainly recommend it. The movie mode is great for 'vignettes' or small movie snapshots. I also use the black and white a lot. I also didn't think the LCD would matter very much, but it does: I never use the viewfinder. I appreciate the large size of the LCD when passing the camera around to friends to view pictures and movies. Hint #1: Immediately jack up the megapixel resolution to 5 so that you can capture moments in the best resolution possible. Then, bypass Sony's ridiculous profit margin

joysmahal - (October 27, 2004) This camera is awesome. I upgraded from a Canon A70 and it was well worth the money. The Canon A95 uses 4 AA bateries, but it eats through normal alkalines way too fast. I highly recommend getting rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and a quick charger. The swivel screen is a major plus, it's 1.8" compared to 1.5" from the Canon A70. The screen is also higher resolution than the A70. I have used the camera for 3 weeks and printed about 50 pics so far. The pics look great and I even cropped to zoom in on some pictures and you couldn't see any sign of pixelation. I love the manual flexibility with this camera, plus the automatic modes make it easy for anyone to use. The camera

Broke in 6 months, Panasonic NO HELP!
bikeboy3 - (07/03/2009) Bought in December, stopped working June! I take great care of my equipment and LCD screen internally cracked, sent to Panasonic and they would not honor warranty. Even when the camera worked the battery life was awful and the low light weaker than any camera I have ever used. I am semi pro and have Nikon, Canon and Sony cameras that all work better. Sony, Canon & Nikon service exceptional. Panasonic the worst ever! DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA or anything from Panasonic because if it breaks for any reason they will not honor warranty!
shrike424242 - (07/01/2009) The Kodak EasyShare Z1015 is a great camera that has a lot of features for the price. One of the big selling points is the 15x optical zoom, which is great for getting in close for close-up pictures, which is much better than some of its competitors. The 10MP capture is great for getting very detailed pictures with very good color fidelity in both JPEG and RAW modes. The RAW mode is a bit slower than JPEG mode, though the picture quality is a bit better without the JPEG compression. The controls are pretty easy to use, so it makes it simple to get some great pictures. The video mode works well to capture 720p HD video, though it tends to eat up SDHC card space pretty quickly. For shooting a lot of video or a lot of RAW pictures, a 8GB SHDC or larger card is recommended. The smart processing mode, which does some pre-processing of the picture before snapping it, was a bit slow and broken when the camera was originally purchased, though a firmware update after the fact helped fix that issue. The Z1015 is a great rock-solid camera that takes great pictures, good HD video, has a great optical zoom for close-ups and has easy controls to get the most out of the camera.

aoowala - (06/29/2009) My camera has been of greatest service to me since 2004. I must say that I have not used it much because I only take my family photos. However, two days ago, a strange thing happened. It cannot pick objects on the LCD monitor at all. I have tried several times to take picures but the monitor is simply dark/black and empty. Whenever I click it, I get no image whatsoever. I can see all the stored images on the memory card and read all the other information about the camera on the monitor. I am the only one who uses this camera and I am certain that it has not been accidentally damaged. The lens is always opened while taking these pictures and I have even used a blank memory card in vain. The batteries are perfect. Please can anyone out there tell me what to do and where the fault is??
