CDJ-1000MK3 Digital Vinyl Turntable
Plays MP3's, more user adjustable controls such as jog dial sensitivity. The MK3 really is a new and improved unit all across the board when compared to the previous versions of the CDJ-1000.
Premium price which I have yet to see under $1K for a new unit, which is considerably higher than competing cd turntable units.
Posted Jun 15, 2007 - Pioneer always seem to find some way to improve with each version of their CDJ-1000 flagship CD Turntable. The MK3 is best described as a refined version of the CDJ-1000 with more user adjustable settings, unavailable with previous versions. The biggest difference of course is the MP3 capability - really, who wouldn't want the ability to have 30+ tracks on a regular CD-R?. The 3 hot cues provide much more creative flexibility for loops or anything the user wants to add on the fly. Pioneer somehow managed to raise the bar even further with the MK3 and has solidified the CDJ-1000 as the industry standard for clubs and digital djs in almost every genre of music. The CDJ-1000MK3 really is to cds what the Technics 1200 is to vinyl. Truly an amazing piece of equipment!
