Easy to use-simple to operate, reliable, good-looking "slim" design, logical-no non-sense remote, plays rental DVDs that scratched without skipping or pausing, plenty of features for the average user.
None so far. In all respects a quality engineered and built machine.
Posted Mar 3, 2003 - This is my first DVD player. I searched for over 2 months deciding what I wanted in a player and which model would serve me best. I planned on renting DVDs and joining Netflix. I had read in other's reviews that this player with its precision 2 drive system would play damaged DVDs with no problems. They were right. The first DVD I loaded was badly scratched but the Sony played it without a single skip or pause. It has 5 picture settings to choose from and you can switch from one to the next while a movie is playing. The picture and sound quality are both exceptional! The "resume feature allows you to stop a DVD in play, turn off the player, even remove and reload the DVD and the player will pick up right where you left off. Before you buy a Panasonic, Toshiba, JVC or any other brand, give this Sony a close look. Most people will be more than satisfied with it, like me.
