Very poor player for the money.

Posted Jun 7, 2006 - This very costly player does like any other similar HDMI player does with the exception that does not track a DVD movie that has the slightest imperfection, like a spec of dust of a minute scratch. My much cheaper player tracks any disc with no problems. Also does not play most of home recorded DVDs. It says the disc is 'UNKNOWN". The same disc plays in my old Sony with no problems. The HDMI output is very constrasty, rendering an scene in a movie very dark and with so much contrast, the actors faces are not shown normally.
