Good, but strange

Strengths: Easy for 2 year old to turn on & understand
Weaknesses: Joystick WAY too sensitive. ONLY uses batteries. No Enough games available.
My 2 year old would always go directly to this thing in the store, So I figured if she likes it that much, I'd let her do something different with her time in front of the TV. Keep her active, at least. I'm an avid gamer myself, and I can say this is actually an easy to navigate game system for kids. She has trouble with the joystick being SUPER sensitive, so she always misses where she wants it to go, and get frusterated. The carts are too hard for her to put in and take out herself. I think the reason they don't have the AC line on this, and only batteries, is to cut down on the number of cords floating around your TV. I think it's a good idea, and so do battery makers around the world. Still, as parents we have an ample supply of all types of batteries on hand. Also, there aren't close to enough programs available for this system, and it almost really turned me off to it. But, the price of the system, and the games held my interest. Consider the other systems, they are pricey, then you have to spend so much on those accessories and a bundle on the games. All-in-all, it's a good basic system for a beginner.
