Braun CCR3 Synchro System Clean & Charge Refills

Strengths:

Does a great job of cleaning your shaver

Weaknesses:

Small on-going expense

Posted Apr 12, 2008 - I've been using the Braun clean & charge refills for over 2 years and have been extremely happy with them. They do a great job of cleaning your shaver and make it feel like you have a new shaver again. While replacing the cartridges is an on-going expense, you do get quite a few cleanings out of a single cartridge, it saves me the time of doing it myself manually every time, and it does a much better job than I would. 3-4 cartridges last me an entire year. After using a multitude of shavers over the years, I can't envision ever switching from a Braun shaver equipped with a cleaning system; they're awesome.

Braun CCR3 Syncro System Clean and Charge Refills (3-Pack)

Strengths:

Effectively cleanses shaver; provides refreshing scent; no need to manually brush the shaver clean

Weaknesses:

Expensive since it has to be replaced so frequently if used often; seems to spill easily when not being used

Posted Mar 8, 2008 - I initially did not use this product with my shaver daily, but once I saw the how well this product cleans my shaver, I decided to use it daily. After a cleaning it feels like a brand new shaver, and the product gives the shaver a lovely lemon scent. Although it may be pricey to keep buying these refills, to get the full use out of my shaver, I feel that these are essential.

Very Convenient

Strengths:

Does a great job cleaning razor. There is no mess at all.

Weaknesses:

While the Clean and Charge is great, the razor is mediocre.

Posted Feb 9, 2008 - I love not having to clean the razor. That,in fact, is why I bought the Braun razor in the first place. The Clean and Charge system does a great job keeping the razor clean. There is no mess. I would give five stars for the cleaning system. The problem is the cleaning system is attached to a mediocre razor. The shave is neither as fast nor as close as the Norelco. However, I don't miss cleaning my Norelco. I will say a clean Braun is better than a dirty Norelco. Since I now refuse to hand clean a razor, I will recommend the system.

Great shaving system

Strengths:

The alcohol does the job it is advertised to do

Look for deals online

Posted Jan 16, 2008 - Got a pack of 3 from Amazon when they had a Christmas sale. Got a 3-pack for $11. I have only been using the cleaning system for about a month now, but I like the alcohol fluid used to clean the electric shaver. And I am also glad Braun chooses not to change the cleaning cartridges with each new shaver model. Based on my shaving habits, I think the cartridge will last me 6 weeks instead of the standard 4 weeks. The system really does do its job of cleaning since I pulled out the cartridge to compare to the new ones and the old one was completely grey. Highly recommended - just look for deals.

Old reliable

Strengths:

lasts a while. smells good. relatively inexpensive. keeps shaver cleaning to a minimum

Weaknesses:

getting harder to find. doesn't fully clean the shaver.

Posted Jan 15, 2008 - My wife gave me the Braun Shaver that uses these cleaning refills 5 years ago. It's worked perfectly all this time and i've never had an issue. The refills are pretty cheap at about $5 each, and they last me several months on average. It cleans very well, and makes the shaver smell good. the main downside I see with these is that since they are for older shavers, less and less retailers are selling it. i found these on Amazon, but no brick and morter store sell them anymore around me. Also, don't think these can take the place of manual cleaning, but they do a great job.

Strengths:

Does the job of cleaning and lubricating the razor

Posted Sep 28, 2007 - This product definitely does what it states: Cleans and lubricates the Braun electric shaver. Everytime I charged and clean my razor it looks really clean and the shave feels as if with a new razor. Essentially it is nothing but denatured alcohol but with a fresh fragrance. They last for a while because it comes in a pack of 3. One tip with the cartridge, do not keep them open because it contains alcohol so it evaporated on contact with air. At the end of lifecycle of the cartridge, it will look really dirty proof that the product is working. Only con: Expensive but you buy it once a year so it's OK with me.

Strengths:

Better lubrication than the original.

Weaknesses:

Easy to spill if not careful to keep level.

Posted Sep 14, 2007 - The same as the two pack but more economical to buy three at a time. Cleans the shaver without any human intervention so that it works like new every time.
