Strengths:powerful, easy to use, relatively safe, awesome commercial
Posted Dec 2, 2006 - I have been longing for a good body shaver to keep the unwanted/unsightly body hair at bay. I am Asian and am not hairy by any standard. But I like to keep the area around/near my "frank and beans" well groomed.
As such, I got a couple of options:
1. wax. No way. Skins in certain area is very delicate and I will not try it.
2. I tried razors. Very effective in relative smooth areas. But as it gets closer to the frank and beans, I get gun shy.
3. I tried a cheapo small powered cordless bikini shaper/trimmer. It is a bit weak and again, with the exposed cutting blades and minimal clearance of the attachment, it worked well. But not close enough.
4. In comes this unit. I immediately notice that it is much more powerful. Also, it has 2 types of cutting surfaces builtl-in: the regular teeth type on the tip for cutting longer hairs with the attachments attched. It also has a much safer mesh-screened curved main cutting surface. That can be used in much more "delicate" areas. So far, it is quite safe to use. Just be careful to keep teh tip away from sensative area when using without attachements.
Oh, have you seen the kick a$$ commercial on Philips website for this product? I hate to admit it. But once I saw that, I am bought.
Granted, it is a bit expensive. But for what it does and the areas it works on, you can not be cheap about it. Safety it most importmant. So far, I have only used it once. As I use it more, I will update. Keep in tuned.
