Nicely Built TV Stand
Closing cabinet doors (rare now a days), fit my heavy 32" tube TV no problem, nice craftsmanship, sturdy once assembled.
Center enclosure w/ glass doors was tighter than expected, poor ventilation for high heat generating entertainment center equipment
Posted 1 year ago - I took a couple of hours to assemble this TV stand and I'm very pleased with the end result. You can tell Sauder put a good amount of time in the design of this piece of furniture. Directions were easy to follow and the fitment of each piece was great. Once assembled the unit was very solid and I felt confident when putting my large tube tv on top of it. I also had plenty of space on the sides for my speakers and PS3. --P-- This is one of the few units I found that allows the user to close all of the cabinets with a door. Having an 18 month that would be in the area of the TV from time to time made that essential for me. Now I can baby proof the TV stand. Many of the tv stands out there go with the open space kinda them. Not so good for a little kid. --P-- You might want to put your receiver, dvd player, or whatever is wide and you want to fit in the center enclosure before you install the glass doors if at all. The width of the center enclose is about 17 1/4". The width you have to work with when the glass is installed is about 16". My audio receiver was about 17". Just something for you to think about. --P-- I originally placed my ps3 in the center enclosure but quickly noticed it getting way too hot in there due to poor air circulation. I quickly had to move the ps3 directly to the left of the TV. My receiver was just fine at the bottom of the center enclosure. The remaining areas are now housing several of my DVDs and video game discs. --P-- I'm very pleased with this TV stand and think it's an excellent product for the price. Now for me to think of what audio pier would go nicely with it.
