4 Star Review Quicken 2007

Strengths:

Same old reliable Quicken

Weaknesses:

Seems to have an occasional coding conflict with something in Microsoft that causes an occasional lockup -- MS says its Quicken's fault

Posted Jun 7, 2007 - Good program/version for tracking investments. Not sure how it could be improved, unless they let in more flexibiblity with QIF files (esp for PayPal uploads.) They've thot of just about everything I need, tho.

5 Star Review Quicken Premier 2007

Strengths:

I had to purchase new software as recently changed to a Vista Windows computer. My old Quicken was 2005. Very easy to convert files. Has the same good features and even more.

Weaknesses:

None that I've seen so far.

Posted Jun 13, 2007 - No problems as of yet. Like new report features and of course online download. I'd like to be able to change the print features to enlarge or reduce sometimes.

Easy upgrade from 2004 Deluxe

Weaknesses:

Posted Apr 9, 2007 - I was forced to upgrade from Quicken 2004 Deluxe because Intuit was discontinuing on-line services for 2004 products. 2007 was easy to install and import my existing quicken data. It also has more robust reports and features.

4 Star Review Quicken Premier- Better than Basic and Money

Strengths:

easy to use. lot of options to customize

Weaknesses:

a few to many options and some frustration trying to enter some data

Posted 1 year ago - I had used Quicken basic for years and got a free Microsoft money to use and had plans to move my fiscal data over but decided to try an upgrade to the Quicken Premier. I am glad I did. easy to use, easy to move data from old version, lots of options for direct downloads. I have multiple investment accounts and bank accounts very easy to set up and keep current. One button price updates all my stock and mutual funds, can see in many different ways my finances. Strongly recommend over Quicken basic and I liked better than money.

Posted 1 year ago - great software, it's much more feature rich than other versions of quicken 2007. i really like that you can find out how to use this with Video Professor. however, video professor only teaches version 2005, 2006, and 2007

4 Star Review Does it job - necessary for forced upgrade

Strengths:

Best financial management software there is. More capability than money

Weaknesses:

Intuit sunset policy forces upgrades. Packaging forces many into Premier version

Posted Dec 7, 2007 - What's to say: Old reliable quicken, best money management software, better than MS money, maximum compatibility with bank / credit card software. The drawbacks? Intuits sunset policy forces you to upgrade every 3 years or lose the ability to synch with banks. It has become a bit of a memory hog /bloatware application. Finally, they have made so many versions, slicing and dicing to force you to buy the premier package. Still, all in all, the best of the alternatives

Excellent program that keeps all of my financials organized and offers great investment/tax guidance.

Strengths:

Couldn't install the program because of some problem with the software so the program has no strengths!

Couldn'tinstall the program

Posted Aug 27, 2007 - I went through the installation process which included uninstalling Quicken 2006. I couldn't get the software to open. I reinstalled Quicken 2006 and copied my files from my backup. I don't have to pay for crapware, I can download it for free.

Posted Jul 20, 2007 - I did a lot of research before deciding on Quicken 2007 Premiere. Unfortuantely, as a new Mac user, I forgot that most software is geared towards PCs. Thus, I purchased a PC version of Quicken....which (obviously) does not work on my Mac. Therefore, I have not been able to use the software as my desktop PC is in storage. Live and learn!
