Posted Aug 4, 2007 - Quicken 2007 Deluxe is a very good tool for personal financial management. Comparing to its previous version, the greatest change is that the cash flow integrated in the homepage. Other good features are also improved, such as: Quicken Attachments, Quicken 2007 Financial Calendar, expense categorize. The simplified, clear homepage also make this software easy to use.

Great financial tool

Posted Aug 18, 2007 - I updated from Quicken Deluxe 2004, and have been very happy. The only knock I can give it is that the product no longer supports QIF files, which many online places supply, such as Paypal. They claim it's because of product improvement and security, but the real reason is that they force financial institutions to pay a license fee for their QFX format. While QFX is indeed more convenient as it is automatically handled when doing transaction downloads, it is not supported by everybody. Intuit should *not* have taken out this capability!! Now that I've gotten my gripes out of the way, I will say that I am quite happy with the product! ;-) It's more stable than version 2004, which crashed on me regularly. I can't think of this crashing on me once in six months!! The conversion was a snap, though it took some time. My PIN vault transferred just fine. There were some warning messages along the way, which weren't that obvious, but it worked. I like the interface. It's relatively easy to find what I want to do, and the built-in help is very useful. When doing transaction downloads, there can sometimes be cryptic error messages, but these usually go away. It's easy for me to track all of my accounts, and see where I am spending my money. The split transaction feature is very useful, particularly when making a deposit of multiple checks.
