Good Product!

Strengths:

1) Easy to use. 2) You can track the time spent on individual jobs and create invoices directly from that time. 3) You do not need to create account numbers for your chart of accounts.

Weaknesses:

The product can be expensive. If you need payroll for your business you will have to "upgrade" every year. And by upgrade I mean buy the full product again.

Posted Feb 15, 2007 - I have used Quickbooks for a number of years now and I am fairly happy with the product as a whole. Before purchasing this most recent 2007 version I compared it with Microsoft's Small Business Accounting (SBA). In my opinion, this product is easier to use although it lacks the solid integration features that SBA may have.

Quickbooks Pro 2007

Strengths:

more versatile than Quickbooks Pro 2004 which I currently use, especially e-mailing invoices in PDF format.

Weaknesses:

still awkward working with payroll for independent contractors.

Posted Apr 21, 2007 - I would recommend purchasing this product, particularly if you're a small business,since you can manage most accounting functions very effectively with it. However, you need someone who has a basic understanding of accounting to really take advantage of the features since it's a pretty powerful tool.

same as earlier editions

Weaknesses:

cannot see what is running in the background easily

Posted Apr 11, 2007 - Very disappointed in Quickbooks had 2004 and they no longer support payroll functions had to order even though mine was working fine for me. Seems like a gimmick used to get a free year of basic payroll do not now

Strengths:

User friendly, Easy to learn, good support, Intuit makes good and usable updates each year with consistent improvements

Weaknesses:

Limits on forms such as invoices and statements.

Posted Nov 28, 2006 - I have used Quickbooks for about 8 years and consistently improve their products. The prices are reasonable and being so user friendly all of clients are able to use and afford the product which makes our job as accountants a lot easier. Intuit listens to it's customers suggestions and they offer good customer support.

Strengths:

Easy to understand and navigate

Weaknesses:

Trouble installing, took 3 attempts

Posted Apr 20, 2007 - Have used the Quickbooks system for 15 years and wouldn't use anything else. It is very easy to learn and very accurate. My accountant has used it for years also and it has made my job submitting information to him effortlessly.

Posted Nov 26, 2006 - QuickBooks Pro 2007 is a nice upgrade from prior editions, which seemed to require an accounting degree to understand. With 2007, QuickBooks has an easy-to-understand interface/overview that provides simply navigation and far better/more useable information. The program's core functions remain essentially the same, and the help system could still be better, but overall this is a new edition that's probably worth the price. But remember, Intuit's technical support remains practically non-existent.

Strengths:

Comprehensive accounting software for your small business

Posted Mar 13, 2007 - I bought this for my small business and I have found it pretty easy to use. Compared to prior versions of QuickBooks, namely the 2006 version, it doesn't take as much of my system memory, so I really liked that, since my computer is older. It runs pretty smoothly and once you get familiar with the entries it is a breeze. The interview for setting up the company is ok, but not the best.

Strengths:

Easy Interface to other programs. Networking compatibility.

Weaknesses:

Kind of bossy.

Posted Dec 12, 2007 - Very little change from year to year. Interface with Excel allows easy analysis. Downloads from "Banks Checking" readily available. Installation easy, however, seems overly fond of large meaningless updates. Defiantly recommend high speed internet access or plan on spending a log time on line downloading updates via dial up.

Posted Oct 25, 2007 - Quickbook pro 2007 is complicated and very unforgiving.It is not as easy to install as it had stated in the product manuals.Also Some of its features are not supported with 64bit processor.It is much slower software and it takes long time to load the data even on a faster PC.

Posted Sep 7, 2007 - I brought this just few weeks back. I will tell in very short it is an excellent accounting program software for small business like me. Installation was just a few steps means installation was very easy. The program of quickbooks have very smiple navigation toolbar which help us to find our way around quickly. QuickBooks Pro is very smiple,easy to start, and intuitive accounting software. U can just buy the software without any problem that is for sure.

Not the best written software, but still the best accounting package for small business

Strengths:

* Host of account processing features * Industry standard package * Works with Windows XP and Vista * Slightly improved user interface

Weaknesses:

* Limited and slow technical support * Some glitches during installation (would not find Internet Explorer 7 on one of my two computers) and software update could be improved as well.

Posted Jul 24, 2007 - This is not a bug-free software package that you will never have a problem with, but is still solid and widely accepted enough to remain a benchmark standard accounting tool for small business.

Strengths:

The video tutorials are nice. They provide quick and easy ways to learn about the product.

Weaknesses:

This probably isn't a true weakness, but it does take time to learn how to configure reports to meet your needs.

Posted May 27, 2007 - I'm not the primary user of QuickBooks for my business. The manager uses it more for day-to-day operations. I use it more for reporting/informational purposes. I am still learning how to use the reporting system, but it appears to be user-friendly and adaptable to my specific informational needs.

great product

Strengths:

easy to use, great support from intuit, easy to organize customers, vendors and employees, manage payroll, and easy customizable forms

Weaknesses:

free support is only 30 days

Posted May 20, 2007 - i really enjoy this product and feel that it is much easier to use than peachtree or other accounting software that is out there. I have been using quickbooks 2003 for the last 3 years and the transition from 2003 to 2007 was seamless. If you have a company and do you own books this product will definitely make life easier.

Strengths:

They made the navagation menus more user friendly.

Weaknesses:

If you have used Quickbook over the years, there some time getting use to the new product.

Posted Apr 6, 2007 - This is an improvement for user's who are not computer Savvy. If you have over the year use this product, it has a complete and total different look. It will take sometime to get use to the product. I like that each company noe has a nice menu. When you enter the company, You have a great statment looking form to look at, without the guess work in the polder versions.
