Posted 1 year ago - TaxCut is a very user-friendly program, which I have used for years and plan to continue using. The company offers GREAT support, even YEARS after initial purchase. (The program requires a registration key, so several times I've needed to open prior years' tax returns to retrieve info, and thus needed to reinstall the program for those years. I've always gotten excellent phone support, verification of my purchase and prompt receipt of my initial registration key when I ask for it. VERY different from other companies' support process!) I've tried another well-known program (TurboTax) and had to halt mid-preparation because the program would NOT accept a zero entry or an unusual address, even though that's what was on my W-2 or 1099. TaxCut understands that not every company does paperwork the way it should, and it lets me finish my return even though my info isn't as detailed as it should have been. It warns me that something's not right, BUT allows me to intelligently over-ride it, which I value highly. TaxCut thinks for me when I want it to, yet lets me step in and think for myself when I choose to. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering moving from an accountant to do-it-yourself tax filing, whether as a business or an individual.
