Strengths: Easy to use, just slide in the xD card and it's ready to go. Small size.
Weakness: There's a little piece of plastic that's supposed to lock the card in place, but it's too loose to be effective.
Overall, this is a fine product. It's a very simple design, and anyone should be able to open the box and be able to use the product within 10 seconds. This reader also comes with a protective case, so you could cart it around in a camera bag without fear of breaking it.

TopStrengths: Very simple to use--no need for a driver. The xD picture card fits snugly in reader and then is plugged into a USB port.
Weakness: Haven't found any yet.
Unlike other card readers this one locks the card in place so a constant connection is made. You couldn't ask for simpler operation. Just open the new removable drive that appears in My Computer, copy the files, and paste them into your picture folder. Even a computer novice can't make a mistake. I can't recommend the product highly enough.

this is a perfect companion to any xD card based camera.. I have the olympus verve and use this to transfer my pics to my laptop.. it is much faster to transfer with this USB reader than with direct connection to the camera.. Highly reccommend this little addition..

Great drive! Use low meg XD cards to create inexpensive jump drive. Top quality data management. Good way to use old picture cards when you purchase new memory for your digital camera. Floppy disc equivalents say it all: 16 meg = 11.11 flopies; 32 meg = 22.22 floppies; 64 meg = 44.44 floppies; 128 meg = 88.88 floppies; 256 meg = 177.77 flopies; and 512 meg = 355.55 floppies. (Try carring 512 meg of floppies in your hip or shirt pocket!) What's not to love.

Weakness: none important
Now I don't have anymore to plug my camera in the usb door using the cable for transfering my digital photos, but just to plug it and download all my digital pictures withuot using any additional sowtwear. Everything it's esyer now. It's also so small and nice that I can carry it without any problem of space. This is a very good addition to any digital camera that uses an xD picture card.

TopStrengths: It took about 2 minutes (or less) to get this installed and use it. So much faster than downloading from my camera!
Weakness: It seems a little fragile - so I'll need to keep it away from my kids.
I've been wanting a jump drive for a while - to be able to move things from computer to computer more. To find one that would ALSO read my camera media was awesome. And then to have the flexibility to have multiple cards with different data. I love this!

With it's compact size I can easilly store in my camera bag for transfering my digital photos to any PC without software. This is a great addition to any digital camera that uses an xD picture card.

I espescially liked the conpact size of the Fuji drive reader. It makes it easy to carry while on vacation or visiting relatives. After photos are taken, I download them into relatives computers, saving me the cost of making photo CD's or printing photos. The dust cover is a real convenience. Recommended to everyone.

Fujifilm XD USB Drive/XD Card Reader FlashCard Reader
Strengths: Small size, can fit on keychain (comparable to USB thumb drives). Attractive and stylish. Includes neck strap and clear cover.
Weakness: Not USB 2.0. Could actually be re-designed to be smaller since circuit board is not that big. Not sealed completely so dirt could get inside. The cover could be smaller and more protective.
Overall, this is a very nice xD card reader! I use it for my Olympus cameras and this fits nicely into the camera bag. I was hoping an accessory like this would become available the first time I saw the small size of xD memory. The performance is not as fast as similar USB 2.0 card readers. Olympus has a similar product that may be worth considering.
