4GB Extreme 4

Posted Jan 22, 2008 - It is pretty simple. If you need a fast and reliable card get this or the extreme 3 version. I have been using SanDisk flash memory for many years and I have never had any issues. I shoot wildlife and sports on a regular basis and the increased speed over the standard cards is a lifesaver. Highly recommended!

Perfect size for the new high res cameras

Posted Mar 6, 2008 - I debated for quite a while on which card to get...2 4GB or 1 8GB. The camera I use this with has two card slots...and it made a lot of sense to get two cards. The camera and card seem to be well matched allowing the writing of images to both cards. I haven't test the card against older cards, but I have no reason to believe that these cards aren't as fast as they are rated. Packaging seems excessive...could have save a few bucks and gone with the standard packaging for all of the other cards. Fortunately, there was a GOOD rebate program that actually encouraged the purchase of more than one card at a time.

Sandisk 4GB Extreme IV

Posted 1 year ago - Nice CompactFlash 4GB card. Blazing fast, even with an older Canon Digital Rebel (EOS 300D). Using this card, I can now acquire more frames at once and have the camera back ready faster than with my older cards. This extra speed makes an incredible difference with RAW images. Unfortunately, you pay for that convenience as this card is easily twice as expensive as a regular-speed one - unless you can take advantage of a mail-in rebate (which I did). 4GB is plenty of space, even for newer cameras. With the Digital Rebel, I can easily save over 1000 compressed pictures (not sure exactly how many because the image counter does not go above 999 on the Rebel), or over 300 in RAW format. Did I mention it is fast :-) ?

Posted Dec 8, 2007 - Works like a charm in my D300. Responds fast! SanDisk is one of the few brands I trust. I recommend that you spend the extra money to get a high-quality memory card.

Posted 4 months ago - i needed a faster writing card for my alpha 350 because the camera captures alot of info. 14.2 mega pixels. this card allows me to take pictures faster because of it's writing speed.

Sandisk Extreme IV 4.0GB

Posted Jun 6, 2007 - I am using this memory card with a Canon E Rebel Ti (standard 18-55 lens). I have been able to reach all of the camera speed specifications as far as shutter speed etc. I am very happy with the memory card, as it has delivered reliable service up until now. I recommend this product or any of the other SanDisk cards like the III-series.

Excellent card

Posted May 31, 2007 - This card is very fast comparing to my Lexar Platinum 2GB. I used this on my Canon XT and it was difficult to see the speed difference, but it was clearly faster transferring files on USB 2.0 to my PC. I think the XT does not write that fast to take full advantage of this card. It was an excellent deal for $65 after rebates.
