This product seems to work very well, is fast, and has been reliable so far. Previously owned a CF 256 Ultra bought in 2002. It still works well and has been most reliable. It is anticipated that this next SanDisk product will work just as well.

It took too many information exchanges with San Disk customer service before they told me to try to return it to the retailer. Then, the retrailer provided good service. I wasted two weeks because on a bad San Disk part.

I purchased the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD card to use with my Canon S2 camera, which has a 1GB maximum video movie capture mode. I ran a test by making two contiguious maximum (1 GB) movies in the Canon's maximum resolution setting. Each movie was approximately 9 minuets in length. I viewed each movie with Windows Media Player to see if there were any indication of lost frames which would occur if the SD card's write speed was too slow to keep up with the camera's output. There were no indication of any lost frames.

This is an awesome SD card. I can hold my music and files on here. It's easy to use. Just stick the card in the card reader and transfer files and from my PC to the card. And then stick it in the the Treo..and I'm ready to rock.

I was trying to download some important images, one of the disks fell on the floor and I had my chair roll over the disk with my butt sat on the chair;-(. When I picked up the disk, it had a visible bend line right down the middle. I could feel the whole chip was bent. My heart just stopped.
Miraculously, it survived the damage. I couldn't believe when I plugged it back in the camera, it showed up every image. I did not miss a single one.
Don't try it yourself. It certainly is my lesson learned. I am sure, it had been a micro drive, it would be a total loss.

I am using two 2GB UltraII SD cards with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 8Mp still camera, in both hires movie mode (VGA 30 fps) and high speed burst mode with no problems whatsoever, even though Panasonic won't certify any but their own flash memory cards.

Initially reaction was good, but the card didnt sustain itself, one use and the card konked.
The camera displays that a meomory card error and shows that the card is locked, I really do not know what to do.
For one use I lost 100 bucks.

TopI think they're guaranteed. Try returning it. It (guarantee) worked for me.
If you look down the side of the card, you will see a tiny switch with a downward arrow with "lock" written by it. You slid that switch down and "locked" the card, so no-shiit, you won't be able to write to it or format it.
Slide it back up and get your $100 back.
Strengths: Error free operation and quick write speed. Very compact size. Lifetime warranty. Downloads to computer quickly from camera.

I bought this for using in a digital camera that takes video. I can take a couple hours of video on one of these. Or it can hold up to 2,000 high resolution photos.

The seller was excellent! The problem is the manufacturer. After getting two bad Sandisk Ultra II 2GB Secure Digital cardsfrom different sellers, I did some researchandfound out the same factorymakesthe bogus cards on the night shift. Two huge shipments were mismarked and sent to legit businesses all over the U.S. You can verify the serial numbers through Sandisk's website tech help. The fact that Sandisk knowingly allows this to occur in their facility makes me want to shy away from a dishonest business.Good-bye Sandisk, hello PNY.

TopI too had purchased the Sandisk Ultra II SD 2GB card from Best Buy only to get a 32MB card twice! Sandisk Tech Support told me that this was Best Buys problem and would not provide me with a replacement! This is BS and if they don't do something some I to will never buy a Sandisk product again!
Sounds like an urban myth and I suspect you work for PNY.
Strengths: I fit a ton of music and speeches on my Pocket PC so now I have tunes wherever I go.
Weakness: None really.
I totoally appreciate being able to carry hundreds of songs, without buying an Ipod or another Mp3 player. In fact, none of those can do what my Pocket PC can do thanks to this huge memory card and MS Voice Command. I can tell it, play Norah Jones, or Play Genre Alternative, and there you go! It' the only way to tune in.

This card was purchased for speed and capacity to take advantage of my cameras "continuous advance" and "video & sound" capabilities.
I used it on a two week vacation and did not fill it to capacity even using the "continuous advance." The card was fast with no malfunctions. I have not used the card for video and sound as yet.
A card reader works best for downloading large numbers of pictures from a card like this rather than using the camera.
Be sure your camera is able to use a fast, high capacity card. My camera required an additional software download to make the card work properly. Check your camera maker's web site or camera dealer before buying this type of card.

Weakness: Could not get to work with my Nikon D40X. Appears to be import from Asia.
I tired formatting on BOTH my camera and PC and would not work correctly. Lost pictures, got jumbled file tags; and what looked like Chineese characters in file name. After a few hours of total frustration I thew it away and purchased a new one from big box store (on sale of course) and worked flawlessly right out of the package. $30 lesson that you get what you pay for.

I bought this card for my Edirol R09 audio recorder. I have a 1 gig Ultra II and it works fine. I would have to turn the recorder on and off a couple times before it would see the SD card. It was replaced with a 2 gig Ridata card that works great.

I use it in my Casio EX-Z850 and it's really the only card I need. High speed write keeps up with continuous shot mode. There is almost no delay when viewing pictures.

What's to say about an SD card? I wanted a card that was fast, provided enough storage for all the pictures we'd typically take on a trip, and was reliable. A 2Gb high-speed card does all this on a 6 meg camera without breaking a (metaphorical) sweat.
Highly recommended.

purchased 2 of these for a european vaction along with a Canon S80. To my surprise, the first day out and two maybe three photos later, ERROR. Popped in the second one, formatted it, same thing. Then I'm thinking the camera is at fault, stuck in the oem 32 mb card and it worked fine.
Found a camera store in London and bought 1gb Lexar that saved the trip. Of course I had to download photos nightly to my laptop.
I will stick with Lexar from now on.

TopThe chances of two bad cards out of two is miniscule. Stick with Lexar, because your camera clearly has its own idiosyncratic problems with SanDisk. I'd be happy to buy your SD cards!

I am a fan of SD cards, they work great and hold so much in so little space. They transfer really fast and I have never had a memory problem. I format it as a floppy and so far it has been great. I use it to transfer software, music and pics from PC to laptop, GREAT GREAT GREAT!!

The reliability and performance you would expect from Sandisk. It is fast even though for 2Gb I would purchase a faster UltraIII card. I just use it with the PC for regular file storage, if used with a camera maybe performance whould be faster.

So far, the 2GB SD card is performing very well with the Nikon CoolPix camera. Unplug the card, slip it into the SD slot on the PC and it down loads images into the PC very quickly.

This is the second SanDisk 2GB Ultra II SD card I have purchased in the past year. The first one has been working flawlessly in for more than six months in my Canon SD1000 digital camera and Canon Micromate USB SD/SDHD reader. So far i have had no issues with Sandisk flash memory products.

My daughter can be very hard on her camera, constantly switching from photo to video mode, and forever reviewing just-taken photos with friends. She demands instant performance and receives it from the Ultra. I would recommend it to anyone who wants good capacity and quick performance.

Okay, Pricegrabber wrote back to me because my comments were lacking detail. Okay, here are the details.
I took the card out of the package, put it inside my PC and got an error message. Tried with a USB card reader, and the device wasn't recognized. I tested both the slot of my PC and the card reader with another card, and they worked fine. So.....the card I got was definitely dead.

Needed a large capacity media card for my new 10 megapixel digital camera. This card is all you will need to store your pictures (over 500 photo's) in one go. I wish the price could be lower though. Then I may buy a few more as backup.

For any digital device that needs a SanDisk, you can't beat the SanDisk Ultra line. I have purchased both a 1.0gb and 2.0gb. My second upgrade with the SanDisk Ultra line.

TopWorks beautifully and flawlessly. Fully compatible with the PDA application I purchased it for. I've had no trouble with it what-so-ever. Would definately buy again if the need presented itself.

TopStrengths: Fast. Cheap. Easy to "expand" by adding another card. Doesn't get stuck in slots like the foldable USB one has been rumored to do.
Weakness: Adapter required still for most computers... this weakness is gradually going away.
Personally, I use this card for in my digital camera *AND* for handling files from one computer to another. The card allows me the ability to go from place to place and use all of my files via my Lexar "jumpdrive" that reads the card. It uses USB2 and the speed of the card meets the match of USB2. I was able to transfer 1GB+ in just a few minutes. Blows away the concept of using CD-RW for transport of files. Easily beats zip/jaz for size and availability.... finally beats a typical thumbdrive for expandability.

SanDisk 2GB Ultra II Secure Digital Card
Strengths: Can hold 800+ pictures on our 7.2 meg camera. Very fast.
Weakness: None so far.
We are using it for our Casio Ex-Z750 digital camera and we have had no problems with the card. I have had other SanDisk memory cards and they are the best!
