5 Star Review Great MicroSD

Strengths:

Fast MicroSD, USB reader is very handy, also, it's inexpensive

Weaknesses:

It's not easy to take the MicroSD card out from the USB reader

Posted Dec 19, 2007 - I bought this MicroSD card for my Nintendo DS, it works perfectly. Speed transfer is considered one of the fastest MicroSD card I've ever owned. It was really a great purchase.

Strengths:

Works like expected! Installed perfectly in my RAZR2!

Weaknesses:

It's hard to get the Micro SD card out of the USB card reader.

Posted Nov 25, 2007 - If you're looking to add more memory to your phone this is what you need, a Kingston 2GB Micro SD Card. The card is SO TINY it's easy to lose; you should either leave it in it's card reader or your phone so it won't get lost. I purchased the Kingston 2GB Micro SD to add more music and perhaps some games to my phone in the future, I think it'll work just fine. And I don't notice any difference between using the internal memory off my phone or the Kingston Micro SD card while accessing my data.

5 Star Review Quality MicroSD Card

Posted 1 year ago - Great product. Its nice design of combination of microSD and USB adapter is just what I need. I have WM6 mobile phone which uses microSD but both my laptop and desktop don't have any microSD reader. I can use the cable to connect my phone to PC but it's just not convenient. Now with this product, problem solved. Transferring data between PC and the phone becomes easy. Both the card and the USB reader have good quality. Highly recommended!

Strengths:

The item is a nice small compact USB device to read micro SD card

Weaknesses:

It is difficult to pull out the micro SD card from the reader

Posted Jan 23, 2008 - I would recommend this item to anyone who is interested in purchasing this item. It is very compact, easy to use and does not read a separate reader and interface to the PC. Data transfers quickly, easy to operate and small enough to carry in your pocket.

Posted Jan 22, 2008 - This is awesome. I no longer use the cables that came with my phone or my digital photograph frame. The design is a simple take anywhere one - The card inserts easily and connection to my laptop is as easy as sticking in a thumb drive.

5 Star Review Fast USB Transfer

Strengths:

Fast, easy to use

Weaknesses:

Very small... could get lost.

Posted Jan 12, 2008 - Fixed my problem of transferring data quickly. Took over 1 hour using the card in my phone. The USB connection took less than 5 minutes to transfer 1GB. It's just very small... I'm afraid it will get lost.

Posted Jan 8, 2008 - This is a great flash card for the price. It is fast and at a great price. You know you have a great product with the Kingston name behind it. Just wish the card reader was slightly larger as it is somewhat difficult to remove card. All in all I am happy I have purchased this product.

Small size, USB Reader, and easy to carry.

Weaknesses:

None - It might be small and hard to get the microSD out of the reader, but afterall it is a microSD. I have no complaints.

Posted Jan 9, 2008 - Kingston microSD is a great product on the market. Upload songs very quick. USB reader brings great portability along with size. MicroSD is the size of a quarter with the microSD attached to the USB reader. Needless to say, I would recommend this product to any below, average, or above average user.

5 Star Review Who knew fast memory could be so tiny?

Strengths:

Fast download/upload speeds, protective case, no other adapters necessary

Weaknesses:

It's so tiny, it is sometimes hard to retrieve from adapters

Posted Jan 2, 2008 - This is a great, inexpensive way to transfer files. The USB drive offers great portability. It made me nervous to remove the orange casing completely around the USB drive to insert the microSD for fear of losing it, but the ring on the cord keeps it attached. I have had no problems using Kingston adapters for miniSD (for a Canon HV20 camcorder) and regular SD in my computer and Panasonic DVD/VCR combo unit. Overall a great value! When he saw mine, my brother-in-law wanted one, too!

Strengths:

Small, the usb adapter is pretty

Could provide more adapters

Posted Dec 31, 2007 - Card works like other microsd card. Kingston and Sandisk are they most popular cards brand. The difference is the accessory comes with the card. Sandisk provides more adapters like minisd and sd. But this provide a usb adapter. You can insert the microsd into the usb adapter and use it as a flash drive.

Strengths:

Micro - it is REALLY tiny!

Weaknesses:

Micro - it is REALLY tiny! (...and easy to lose.) A bit slow - it takes about 5 minutes to load 2GB of files onto the card. It is hard to get the card out of the USB reader.

Posted Dec 24, 2007 - I've had experience with other card formats (xD, SD, CF, etc.), but this is my first time using a microSD. I was surprised when I finally received the package. This thing is tiny, about the size of your thumb nail, thus, one must be very careful where you place the card and the USB reader. I've already misplaced the reader and had to turn the room upside-down to find it. Overall, it is a good card. My only gripes are that it is a bit slow when writing onto the card (5 minutes to write 2GB of data). I couldn't find any information on what class this card is, but my class 6 8GB SD card seems to write faster than this card. Also, I have the hardest time removing the card from the USB reader. It slides into the reader and is held in place with friction (from the reader's pins). I feel like I will snap the card in two if I pull on it too hard... a design flaw maybe?

Multiple attachements include direct USB slideout key fast access microSD really tiny

Weaknesses:

cannot be used as readyboost slightly awkward to remove from reader - need a good fingernail! (not particular to Kingston though - due to size of card)

Posted Nov 21, 2007 - 1) Comes with a full SD adapter, mini SD adapter and a USB reader 2) micro SD can be inserted directly into the USB reader 3) convenient mini keychain with built-in slideout USB key 4) micro SD works well with phones etc. - really tiny 5) handy plastic case included to protect the different adapters and the micro sd card The only "difficulty" is in extracting these tiny cards out from the phone or reader - need to have a nimble hand with a good fingernail!
