I have gone through a horrible ordeal with my brand new FUJI F40fd, and these cards just are useless. This is all you'll see READ ERROR! and then your memories are done!

Posted Aug 29, 2006 - I need to know if I have taken the chip out of the camera and then put back in to take more picture. Chip is saying no pictures on disk. I took it out and downloaded the pictures onto my computer and want to download onto another computer, but want to take some more pictures tonight, my question is am I going to loose my pictures if I put the chip back in. This the first time I have ever used a memory chip and don't really know how it works. Please let me know. Thank you, Kathy

Posted Aug 22, 2006 - I just read several eBay guides about counterfeit Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. How are these guys able to sell GENUINE Sony products at prices below those authorized for Sony-authorized retailers? Answer - they're NOT! Will your card write and read back files close to the stated capacity? Will your card hold up after hundreds of write/rewrite cycles? Personally, I wouldn't care too much as long as the quality and warranty were up to snuff. Who provides the warranty on a counterfeit product though? Do some research on this topic online and know what you're getting into before you buy.

Posted Aug 22, 2006 - Can anybody tell me why SmartMedia is so expensive? I recently saw an off brand 4GB Compact Flash card that was selling for slightly less than this SM card and it was a 'buy it now' price to boot! That is a 32x cost differential! I understand that the format has been discontinued but there are still plenty of folks that are stuck with cameras that only use this type of card. OLYMPUS! You have created a whole genré of SM junkies! Olympus, SanDisk, Lexar, Samsung, Fuji, PNY, Memorex, Hama, Legend, Dane Electric--HELP US OUT HERE. You who still have the technology and manufacturing capabilities will you please at least do a small run of several hundred thousand! I guarantee you they will sell out within a matter of weeks if you put them on eBay at a reasonable price. How much can it cost to manufacture these chips once the chip design and whatever is complete (which it should be already)? You'll get rich and you'll sure make a lot of folks glad. HW

Posted Jul 28, 2006 - Just checking out prices on SD cards so we can take a larger sized one on our vacation next weekend. I've read both good and bad things about this card. I assume it is "generic" so that concerns me slightly......will it work? I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z6.....I'm wondering if it's compatable? I phoned the photo and camera store where the camera was purchased and they said that while they didn't carry any 4 GB cards yet, they didn't see a reason it would not work in my camera. Any tips anyone?

Posted Jul 13, 2006 - I am soooo annoyed! my notebook uses NTFS system and had a flash /media slot. Whenever I put my fuji xd disk into it shows no data. It used to open automatically in fuji finepix, now it doesnt. How can you format the disk to NTFS to avoid this, or is it a bigger problem than I think. If I link the camera then its ok.
