25 ms - 1600 x 1200 - 16.7 Million Colors 24-bit - 250 Nit - DVI - VGA - Black - MPN: 213TBLACK
Strengths: Crystal clear images. Smooth motion video. Accurate colors. Excellent contrast and brightness.
Weakness: Stand does not allow vertical adjustment (only tilt & rotate)
One of my smartest purchases. Still waiting for my rebate check from Fry's.
If getting an extension DVI cable, be sure to get DVI-D compliant cables.

TopFor vertical adjustment, tilt the monitor a little forward or backwards, then push the grey button at the base. It should click and then allow for about 3" of virtical adjustment.
Strengths: Crystal clear images. Excellent contrast and brightness, Portrait Mode
Weakness: Pivot software seems to cause an IE error every time I tilt it. Sometimes have to reboot but comes back ok.
I researched this and other review sites for months before jumping in. Local stores Circuit City, Best Buy etc only had the silver model and I much prefer the black beauty. I had been using a 21" Sony Trinitron CRT (actually Dell's version) for many years so I was use to large monitor but wanted the brightness and easy to move LCD instead of my old beast that takes so much space.
Easy to set up once I realized had to also push the button on the front to turn on, not just the rocker switch in back .. dah...... Quite good manual on the CD vs very short install instruction book in zillions of languages. I upped the contrast and brightness to 90+ but wasn't that bad at default settings.
I was hesitant to use my NVidia GeForce2 MX 32mb with no DVI but wow, I was shocked at how clear and nice the video is even using analog.
I LOVE, absolutely LOVE Portrait mode and will probably almost always use it. Websites so nice to see so much of vertically and never have to scroll horizontally. A bit small at 1900x1200 (I was use to 1280/something) but not bad and I can easily hit Ctl-+ and increase size in increments (use Maxthon browser not IE). Word documents great and my e-mails....I see long messages so much easier with all the length of the screen and never been a problem too narrow at 1900/1200 portrait.
I liked the 213T so much I immediately ordered a second. Too bad the $100 rebate doesn't apply to the 2nd monitor per the disclosure.
I have spent days trying to find a good dual DVI AGP4x compatible video card. I have never played a game so gaming cards not needed but few cards that aren't $700+ have dual DVI. I just ordered a Matrox Parhelia 128MB at $399 that seemed ideal for my needs. I don't know how DVI can made the image any more clear. But I will find out when I get it and set up for dual monitors.
This is my first night using the 213T and it has met or exceeded all my expectations. Other than the IE has to stop error I have gotten every time I've pivoted with Pivot Pro, have had no problems, just wonderful monitor to use.
Its now 4:30 am and I am enjoying it too much to go home and go to bed :(

TopStrengths: Big display
Weakness: Lamp goes dim in less than 1 year
This monitor was great out of the box, but after using it for 1 year the back light has become weak and tends to flicker. Samsung parts is very slow at responding to email.

TopStrengths: Easy setup and controls
Weakness: Other than manual, Haven't found any yet.
I'm running the Syncmaster 213T on Analog and picture quality is fantastic right out of the box. Ran the Auto setup and was ready to go. Pivot program works fine. Monitor is easy to tilt and the best monitor I've had in past 20 years.

TopStrengths: LCD Screen Size, Very Clear results, High tech look, Pivot compatiblily to have it in Portait mode or land scape mode very good to work either with.
Weakness: None at all I have found since I purchased it. :-)
I am glad I bought this LCD monitor has Samsung makes best LCD Monitors. Oh wonder Sony has merged with Samsung to work with together on LCD Monitors. I also gotten a great deal of what I paid for lets say I saved about $300 off what I got it for from the stores :-) sorry I wont tell what store even thou their was only 2 left. It was all brand new in the box and once I hooked it up to my Matrox Millenium P650 Dual DVD-i Graphic Card it was so digitally clear and the pictures results was so clear. Again I paid for it is worth having it.

Top
Samsung SyncMaster 213T 21.3" LCD Monitor
Strengths: Wonderful brightness, clarity, color, and fast enough for my racing games to have very minimal ghosting.
Weakness: None. I don't know if the reviewer before me has some different product I have a 213T and you can tilt, rotate and spin to a vertical position.
I love this monitor and have never regreted the $1200 I payed. It seemed like a lot for just a little larger than a 19" but it is really far more spacious. I would scrape up the cash and buy another if I lost it. Everything on it is just BEAUTIFUL!
Comes with Digital and analog cables. Use the digital if you have the choice. I use it in the 1600x1200 mode. It is so clear I can read far smaller print than before.
If you can afford it, go for it!
