MG-19MY 19

Strengths:

looks good physical. works great on a small desk. the buttons are easy to use.

Weaknesses:

i have 12 dead pixels in the lower left of the screen. some of the words on the screen are fuzzy.the up volume doesnt work right at times, when you wanna turn up the volume, it goes into mute mode.

Posted Jan 21, 2006 - i would have to try another out before i bought this one again. im disappointed in this monitor.if i had known that this monitor had dead pixels i would have bought the silver monitor in the x2gen brand which has no dead pixels

Strengths:

Very Clear. Monitor shipped and received within a few days.

Weaknesses:

None so far.

Posted Jan 11, 2006 - Great monitor for the price. Would be nice if free shipping was available and/or no sales tax. Other sellers do provide free shipping, so the NewEgg was not better than other sellers but their reputation is worth the few extra dollars.

Great for the price!

Strengths:

Small footprint, excellent picture, NO dead pixels, VERY fast shipping (from Newegg.com), and you can't beat the price! Overall I'm very happy with my purchase!

Weaknesses:

1) Speakers are a joke! Why does anyone even bother installing total junk? 2) Cables/connectors have a cheap feel to them, like they'd dry out and crack in the near future. (you get what you pay for.

Posted Aug 29, 2006 - I had to RMA the item: the back plate/circuit board (VGA, Sound, & Power connectors) were not connected to the case at assembly (you could push the connectors and the plate up into the case- this raises the question of how good the rest of the assembly was?).. X2gen was quick to authorize a return. They repaired and shipped the same monitor back to me- total time from requesting the RMA to getting the repaired item was about 2 weeks. My only complaint is that there are now a few scratches on the back of the case that must have come during the repair- but that side faces the wall, so it doesn't really matter. I was concerned about dead pixels after reading many reviews on other sites, and especially after having to ship the thing round trip two times. But I checked carefully- no dead pixels and the picture is incredible! Overall for the price (less then One-Twenty-Five after shipping and rebates) you can't beat this deal!!

Big Package 19", Small Price

Posted Jun 28, 2006 - As the price of LCD monitors keeps coming down, I was wondering when the price would hit a number that would make me buy a 19" to replace the 17" that I already have. Well, with rebates, the Father's Day sale put the cost sub $140 and I jumped. Now my son gets to have a 17" monitor and I get to use something that makes it easier to read (boy it's tough getting old). The monitor is great, was easy to setup, better than expected quality. I haven't played games on it yet, but it should be tremendous for that role also.
