The future is now! Unlike conventional LCD monitors, the FP241W features complete HD support, so you can enjoy the most dazzlingly video possible. Experience lifelike video with all your new generation electronics, such as the latest game consoles and HD DVD players. HDMI not only enables 5Gbps data transfers, but eliminates the need for signal conversions, ensuring the best quality video. In addition, unlike other high-performance displays, the FP241W uses only a single HDMI cable, which carries the best quality video signals. The result is less clutter and hassle-free installation. With 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution, the FP241W can display more content while maintaining crisp details and legible text, and its wide-screen format ensures no image distortion or cropping. The FP241W can display two complete A4-size windows side by side, making it easy to view two applications comfortably at the same time. AMA technology reduces grey-to-grey response times to a mere 8ms, ensuring ultra-smooth video without ghosting. Even with highly dynamic content such as movies and games, video is crisp and clean. Additionally, exclusive Senseye technology and a 800:1 contrast ratio ensure that the FP241W delivers vibrant colors and exquisitely rendered details. The FP241W is equipped with two USB ports located on the right side of the bezel and another on the upper part of the bezel for connecting other peripherals, such as webcams, USB keyboards, digital cameras and digital audio players. minimize

5 Star Review Excellent Monitor

Strengths:

Excellent picture, No dead pixels

Weaknesses:

Be careful with vertical position. You can easily bend the mechanism by going too far/wrong direction. The pivot software sometimes gets confused

Posted Feb 16, 2007 - I use it strictly as a monitor (DVI-D) for the computer, so I can't comment on using it for anything else. I probably will try out other uses in the future. The picture quality is the most important thing, so although I list some cons, they are just nits.

5 Star Review Love it!!

Strengths:

Great picture quality!! Lots of inputs!! No defects!! Big!! Clean loooking!!

Weaknesses:

Minor issues such as: Input lag in menus. PiP can only do Digital to Analog (ex DVD/HDMI to Composite/S-video).

Posted Jan 18, 2008 - I received the Sept 2007 built (latest) which resolved the 1:1 pixel mapping and over scan issues. This is a great product for anyone looking for a 24" monitor. Although a bit on the expensive side, its highly worth it and you will not regret the purchase.

4 Star Review BenQ FP241W

Strengths:

great picture, many connections

Weaknesses:

1:1 pixel mapping problems, blackout problems

Posted Aug 29, 2007 - This monitor has great picture quality and as many connections as a lot of televisions. HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, composite, and I think there's an s-video back there too. I have my PS2, 360, and computer all hooked up and still have an hdmi connection for future use (along with some of the lower quality ones). If you purchase one make sure it was manufacture recently (last 4 months is probably safe) so you have the latest firmware. Even with the newest firmware I've heard some problems with 1:1 pixel mapping. My monitor has some problems with the monitor turning off and back on on its own every once in a while (maybe once every couple days for about a second). Its annoying and I have read some forum posts about it being even worse for some. I think its a power supply problem (in the monitor) as even the on board usb ports lose power. Overall though I would recommend it and if the price comes down I might get another.
