Dell UltraSharp LCD Monitors are fantastic

Strengths: Fantastic picture quality, great response time, works well with gaming, CAD and general usage.

Weaknesses: The price when it's not on sale. If you decide to purchase a Dell LCD do a search for SlickDeals and use all the coupons you can compound. You will be happy you did.

If you have an ATI powered videocard get the most recent Catalyst drivers. If you have an NVIDIA powered videocard get the most recent ForceWare drivers. If you have neither of those, check with whatever manufacturer you have for updated video drivers. After that, all the extra features this monitor offers are a breeze. This 16x10 wide-screen format monitor is fully capable of 4x3 (or other modes) with the appropriate videocard drivers installed. And the videocard and videocard drivers will control all the special extra modes and features this monitor offers.
