4 Star Review Very Solid Food Processor

Strengths:

Large enough for 6-8 ppl dinner; Has extra 4 cup small bowl; Solid; Really works.

Weaknesses:

It is 22 inches tall. Might be too large on small counter tops.

Posted Jun 6, 2007 - This food processor has received very good reviews elsewhere. I am surprised that no one has ever reviewed it here. IMO, this is a very solid and very handy tool that should go into every kitchens. The best thing with the processor is that it has both a 12 cup and a 4 cup bowls, which fit perfectly to family of any size. Highly recommended! Minor weakness as I summarized above though: You might find it too huge in a small kitchen, or counter top with limited vertical space. This machine is pretty heavy (sturdy on the flip side!). So don't think you may move it around like you do with your hand mixer.

5 Star Review AWESOME FOOD PROCESSOR!

Strengths:

Powerful yet quiet motor, easy to operate, solid build, sturdy weight, nice finish.

Weaknesses:

Bowl takes a little elbow grease to release.

Posted Jul 26, 2007 - After waiting so many years to purchase a food processor, I finally bit the bullet with the KitchenAid KFP750. A slick deal at an online retailer had the appliance for $119.99 after MIR, and that was my signal to act fast. The appliance was delivered very quickly with only a small dink to the outside shipping box. The inside box that actually held the appliance was in perfect order. After removing the styrofoam padding, I was immediately impressed with the simplicity of the device. No small parts to assemble. It was a simple plug and play. My first recipe of choice was a traditional carrot cake. I put on the 4mm shredding disc and started popping in baby carrots to see the damage that could be done. After a brief period of pulsing, I noticed the carrots were nice and shredded. Now some people have complained that the 4mm disc doesn't shred the carrots fine enough, but I was actually completely content with the results. My second recipe to attempt was a simple pesto sauce. Put on the all-purpose blade and dropped some garlic, sweet basil, pine nuts, and shallots (personal preference) into the base. Closed her up, and started processing. As it was going, I poured in some olive oil through the spout and watched as the mixture became a beautiful light green mixture of delicious flavors. Since I was only cooking for two, I only poured in enough oil to feed the two of us, so I was unable to test to see if there was a leaking problem that so many people have complained about. The sauce turned out perfectly, and the cleanup was a breeze! For the value, I cannot recommend a better food processor. Buy one today!

5 Star Review It processes like there is no tomorrow

Strengths:

Power, Cost the black was much cheaper, KA customer service, several blades come with it, the small bowl

Weaknesses:

Would like more blades.

Posted Jul 29, 2007 - This like other Kitchen Aid products I have is heavy duty. While the base has a plastic housing it must be surrounding a big motor. Anything that I put down the lid has not slowed the motor down at all. Sometime with the general blade it ends up pushing pieces of the thing around a few times. There are two sizes of holes in the lid for feeding different sized items. The container sticks a bit when coming off the processor. That might just be a case of mine being new. If you filled this with liquids then it might spill over I haven't done this yet. Mine came with a large bowl and small bowl that fits inside it. There are 2 slicing disks, 1 shredding disk, a standard blade, a dough blade, a small standard blade, a junky scraper, and a case for the tools. This is a quality product. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy this again.

5 Star Review great food processor

Strengths:

great quality, powerful, quiet.

Weaknesses:

None

Posted Jan 18, 2008 - This is my first "real" food processor and I love it, very convinient to use, can do a lot of cuttings and very quiet. It chops, it grates (with attachment), it does it all - everything that a food processor should do. I only wish it has more cutting tools so i have more choices of what I can cut. Overall though, I'm extremely satisfied.

Posted Oct 18, 2007 - My wife and I have been looking for a Food Processor for some time now. We came across the KitchenAid KFP750OB and thought it will meet our needs. After using it for over a month it has met all our expectations. This is our first food processor and we love it. Would definitely buy another KitchenAid.

5 Star Review Excellent piece of kitchenware!

Strengths:

This is a great addition to the kitchen! Its strong motor, versatility in getting things done and excellent constuctio makes this a wonderful product.

Weaknesses:

Product is a bit bulky. Wish they had made it with a slimmer profile, but other than that, no big weaknesses.

Posted Sep 4, 2007 - I was looking for a consistent food processor with good power and it had far exceeded my expectations! The style of the processor is great as well. I have used it to make great guacamole, batters and also does a great job in chopping up my vegetables. Would highly suggest this product to anyone looking to add a processor to their kitchen toolbox!

5 Star Review nice food processor

Strengths:

It is efficient, quiet and looks great.

Weaknesses:

It can not be used a meat slicer.

Posted Sep 3, 2007 - This is the best food processor I have ever had. It has a lot of functions and is very easy to use. However, you can't change the processing speed. Only two settings are available: pulse mode and continuous mode.

4 Star Review 12 Cup 700-Watt KitchenAid Food Processor

Strengths:

This processor has a LOT of power--you can count on it to chop up the toughest of vegetables with ease. The workbowl, blades and all attachments are made of tough attachments. 1-year warranty too.

Weaknesses:

This processor is incredibly heavy. I was very surprised by its weight. It's definitely best if you're able to keep it on your countertop so you don't have to haul it all over your kitchen.

Posted Aug 30, 2007 - I would recommend this product to home cooks who have plenty of space on their countertops to accommodate this large processor since it's too heavy to be considered truly portable.

5 Star Review KitchenAid Food processor

Strengths:

N/A

Weaknesses:

N/A

Posted Jul 23, 2007 - I have gone through several food processors in the past few years, and this is by far the best I have ever used. The 12 cup capacity is the perfect size in my opinion: it's large enough to puree large batches of soups, but small enough to be practical to mince up a few cloves of garlic (especially with the mini bowl attachment). I haven't found anything this device can't do. I've liquefied onions for sauces, pureed soups, made doughs, etc, and this thing has taken care of them all. The only downside is that this base of the device is pretty darn hefty...but of course it probably has to be to house a motor this powerful. I used to drag it out of the cabinets each time I needed it, but now I just keep it out on my counter--it's pretty enough to be on display, and useful enough to make its presence there practical.

4 Star Review Great food processor

Strengths:

Motor, small & large capacity, easy to clean

Weaknesses:

Weight, height

Posted Feb 29, 2008 - This food processor definitely stands up to it's reputation for being one of the best. It powers through everything we have thrown at it, works for large and small jobs, and is easy to clean. We don't have a lot of counter space so we keep this in a cupboard. I was a bit surprised with how much this unit weighs. Fully assembled it is too tall to fit on a shelf under the counter and the weight makes it a bit awkward getting out. If I had the counter space for the unit I would give it 5 stars but am disappointed that it isn't designed a little better to be stored.

5 Star Review Incredible food processor

Strengths:

heavy duty stable versatile

Weaknesses:

kind of heavy

Posted Jan 29, 2008 - This is an unbelievable food processor. It is the nicest of the 6 or more I've owned. It is easy to use, comes apart for dishwasher really nicely, and very stable. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I rarely use the little chopping bowl that comes with it, though that seems nice.

5 Star Review Well Built and Functional Food Processor

Strengths:

Well built and effective

Weaknesses:

Price is a bit high, but competitive with other simular products.

Posted Jan 7, 2008 - I decided to purchase this food processor after seeing a product review about a year ago on PBS's America's Test kitchen which pronounced this model to be their overall winner. The food processor is built very solidly and makes quick and even cut work out of hard or soft food products. As food processors go, it is not too difficult to clean. I am very happy with my purchase and am glad to have this helper around the kitchen.
