I placed an order on 12/11/07 for an LG 20" HDTV. It is now 1/26/08, and I still do not have the TV. First they promised it would be in for Christmas. Then when that did not happen they moved out the date twice. The product is still in the "processing" stage, with the ship date still showing 12/17/07. When I call, I cannot get a customer service rep. to assist me. The message just keeps going back to the original choices. I will be canceling this order. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THIS IS THE WORST ON-LINE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I also checked on price grabber for the same TV, and shockingly Gateway shows that they have the TV in stock. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I am completely dis-satisfied and do not want another person to have to go through this misery. Overall Rating

Still awaiting order for C-140X tablet PC. When ordering online told estimated shipping date 7/25/07. Few days prior telephone automated line says all parts on-hand awaiting assembly. Got email 7/23/07 saying sorry there has been a delay new estimated ship is date 8/14/07. Talked to customer disservice people and they say there is unknown part missing causing delay but do not know what or what can be done other you have right to cancel. Give them a break and wait. Order status on website still says estimated delivery 7/25/07. Phone call 8/13/07 saying sorry, new estimated shipping date is 9/3/07 and all parts on-hand but we cannot assemble fast enough since too many people ordered due to Back to School sale and you have the right to cancel order. Order status on website still says estimated 7/25/07. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS LIE and will cancel order. Two months to assemble a laptop computer? No wonder they have cash flow difficulties and on the verge of bankruptcy again. Overall Rating

I ordered a desktop from gateway website on 03/14/2007. And Estimated Arrival Date is 03/26/2007. But I was told it will delay to 04/05/2007. Then I waited for it, but when 04/02/2007, I check the order status still is In Production. So I called gateway service, and told me it will delay to 04/17/2007. I can not believe this is gateway. I do not know what kind of business they are doing. They should be closed. Just a computer, again and again delay. As if they have no any feedback. I will never buy anything from gateway, especially, the service also is so bad. It is difficult to find a service guys but automatic telephone answer. Overall Rating

Ordered 10 Memory sticks for our computer systems from Gateway for our Gateway computers. They said these memory sticks were compatible with our system. None worked, then they tried to sell me THEIR memory sticks for more than double the price! And tried to refuse the return! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GATEWAY!! Overall Rating

I will never purchase anything from Gateway again, regardless of the price. The $10 that I saved on a $40 purchase was quickly cancelled out by the 3 phone calls to Gateway and the 3 phone calls to FedEx (for a total of 1 and 1/2 hours) to get the signature confirmation requirement removed. The customer support was beyond dissatisfactory and on 2 occasions just plain incompetent. Think twice before making a purchase from Gateway. Your inconvenience will far outweigh any savings in the price. Overall Rating

Miserable experience. Gateway had the best price but could not deliever a simple router (which they don't even make, its NETGEAR). Everytime when I checked the status of the order, I was told two weeks out. Today I cancelled that order because they said now it will take 8 weeks from the date of order. :-( Overall Rating

I ordered my product over the phone because their website kept wanting to charge me shipping, but to my surprise they did not honor the free shipping listed on Pricegrabber.com. Order Printer on 12/28/05 was told that I should receive item on 1/03/06, I received item on Friday 12/30/05. I had a little problem when ordering on web site, kept wanting to add shipping charge. I had to return my PC for repair. 4 weeks later it si still sitting somewehere. The customer support with whom I have been in contact for over a week has no idea what is going on with the repair. They keep on telling me that they will contact the wearhouse to find out but 1 week later I still have no answer. This is the worst customer service I ever deal with. Overall Rating

I placed an order on December 7, 2004, to use a $50 credit that I was given for Gateway's refusal to honor their on-site warranty. The item was instock when I placed the order. When I placed the order with the representative on the phone, I made it clear that the item needed to be received by Dec. 16. It was going through financial processing past the estimated date of arrival. Now, I will not have the item until Jan 12! (**35** Days from the order date - even with OVERNIGHT shipping!) I will never buy from Gateway again. I bought a 450xl laptop from them in July 2003. First three hard drives failed, but they sent replacements. The video card died and was sent in for repair three times only to come back unfixed. I've talked to four different techs who put in orders for a replacement chassis. I call back only to find that they never ordered it. I have written a letter to Gateway's CEO, and have heard nothing. My next step is contacting the New York Attorney General's office. Preordered x800 xt for $434 (after tax and overnight delivery) on 6/30 with ETA of 7/19. On 7/20 ETA was pushed back from 7/19 to 8/19 . Checked again on 8/22 and found order was cancelled by Gateway without my consent. Seems like they are trying to get out of delivering product for advertised price. This has happened to a lot of other people. Won't ever do business with them again. Overall Rating

I ordered Canon Optura20($489) from Gateway, there is a free shipping. And I also checked there was a $25OFF$500, but I could only use ONE coupon code to process the order online. So I called in(ext 71392) to check if the camcorder is NEW or REFURBISHED. I was told it is new. So I mde the order by phone. He managed to get both coupons for me when I ordered a IEEE-1394 cable ($20). He told me the 2 items will be shipped on Apr 9, but I received them on Apr 9th! They work great! Overall Rating

Ordered a camera,Had it overnighted it came 2 days later and was the wrong one. Called and talked to a rep who said they would have it out Right away!!!....Didn't receive it. Called again talked to 3 different reps. Noone could find the order!? Then said they were all out of that camera. I spent my whole Sunday on the phone with these people. Don't order from them I thought Gateway was a good name and took my chances.Don't make the same mistake I did!! Overall Rating

I thought with a name like Gateway, I'd give it a chance, despite the reviews here. It was the best price on the net, and item was in stock, per the website. I ordered on 4/4 & received confirmation and delivery date of 4/9. We were excited to receive the camera because we were having our 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt 4/11. After 3 calls to Gateway to check status, they said it was backordered til 4/20. Cancelled order, and missed taping the egg hunt. Never again! Overall Rating

I ordered it on 4/5 and received it on 4/6, but their website shows conflicting information (i.e. I should receive it in 3-5 business days and that it has an estimated ship date of 5/4). I am glad this worked out, because based on other reviews, I was getting a little nervous. Not sure I would chance buying from them again, especially on a high ticket item (i.e. camera or PC). Ordered connected DVD player. Received email stating "we'll contact you in 24 hours with a shipping number." They didn't. Called them. They said "oh, our site is wrong -- we're out of stock. Call back every day to find out current status." Phone system always takes me through 10 steps just to tell me "automated system does not have status, please talk to a rep.". How hard is it to have the system deal with out of stock items? While everybody was polite, what a horrible experience. Still waiting. Overall Rating

NEVER AGAIN! Ordered a DC-M42 Digital Camera. Gateways rep stated all ordered placed by 12/22 will be recieved before 12/25. Placed the order 12/19. The Gateway rep. said they had plenty in stock and would should ship it overnight free of charge! "GREAT!" I called on the 23rd after not recieving the camera to check the status and it shipped GROUND and i wouldnt get it until after christmas. I finally got the camera 12/30. Now they wont let me return it would paying a restocking fee! Overall Rating
