shutrbug - (December 01, 2007) The iGolf Golf Caddie is a basic golf GPS that gives distance to the front, center, and back of the green plus information in its records about distances to hazards on the course that are in the course database. I just received my Golf Caddie last week and used it on Friday at two golf courses that I had not played before, hoping that it would help with distances to fairway bunkers, forced carries over creeks, etc. In most cases it worked well, giving accurate distances to the green, but the info about hazards on the course are only as good as the data that is available, and that was the rub that I found. In many cases there was no info about fairway bunkers, creeks, etc., only data on gr

Benincasa - (January 06, 2006) For the 1st time we have the same advantage as the touring pros. I must admit as a teaching pro even I have a problem missing fairways at times. Its these situations where the sky Caddie comes in as a must have tool! It's a terrible thing to have a clear shot into the green after making the mistake of missing the fairway and not having the ability to get an accurate yardage to the pin, without slowing down the group behind you. With the Sky Caddie this becomes a thing of the past. Even in the middle of the fairway correct club selection is vital! Bottom line, correct club selection means hitting greens, and hitting greens means lower scores!!! JUST GET ONE.

pmt - (August 02, 2006) This seems to be an effort to come up with a cheap imitation of the very successful GPS product. It falls very far short. As I found out after wasting my money, the courses are "mapped" from photos taken from several miles up. Good luck on getting good numbers from that! My old eyes are often better. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for....but in this case not even that.

esoxxx - (06/16/2009) This unit compared to the others out there stands up at half the price. Has many features, some that I don't even need, but if I ever do, they will be there.
Make sure your home course is mapped before you buy!
McCarty - (06/05/2009) I suggest you check to insure your course is mapped before you buy. If you don't-----good luck. I purchased a Upro in August of 2008 after spending time talking and e-mailing the technical support team to get a commitment on how long before my home course, that was not mapped, would be made available. The commitment was 7 to 14 days after I received and setup my Upro account. I have been promised since August 2008 almost on a monthly basis that it was sent to the mapping department for setup and to check the Internet Course Finder for the estimated availability date. I was told in November of 2008 that it would not be done for the 2008 golf season but would be available for the start of the 2009 season. I would watch the estimated availability date move on a weekly basis sometimes two to three times per week. It's now the end of May 2009 and the mapping is still not done. The latest availability date is now sometime in June. Based on the lack of commitment in getting the mapping completed it was agreed that I return the uPro for a refund. I now have been waiting for 5 weeks for the refund with no commitment from uPro/Callawy as to when I can expect to see a check.
