Garmin GXM-30 (XM Satellite Radio Accessory)

Strengths:

Receives strong signal, Seamless functionality with compatible Garmin GPS's

Weaknesses:

Price; Physically larger that a typical XM antennae

Posted Apr 1, 2007 - I use the GXM 30 with a Zumo 550 on my motorcycle. It works well and the addition of NavTraffic makes the complete system awesome. Be aware that the GXM 30 is not just an antennae but a completely self contained XM receiver (Hence the large price and size). Your XM subscription is attached to the GXM-30 not the GPS head unit, so if you use the GPS unit in multiple vehicles you'll have to move the GXM-30 as well to receive XM and NavTraffic.

Posted 1 year ago - My GXM30 is connected to a Kenwood KNA-510. I'd subscribed to XM radio and XM traffic/weather. Everything was super easy to install. Just plug in the mini usb plug and that's it. No other wires to run! It' also amazing that the receiver is located under my dash and still able to get a signal from my garage! If you have a Garmin or Kenwood product that compatible with the GMX30, get it.
