4" x 5" - 5080 lpi - Mouse, Pen - USB - MPN: PTZ430
Strengths: Works well as advertised
Weakness: See below
The Intuos3 does everything it's promised to do, well. In pen mode, each dot on screen is mapped to a specific location on the tablet. The tablet's resolution is extremely high at 5080 lpi. The 4x5 version can easily handle any screen configuration. I have two LCDs: 1280x1024 on the left and 1024x1280 (vertically mounted) on the right. The tablet works just fine. You can also specify the mapping areas if you want.
I'm new to writing pads. It takes some practice to get used to. The pad can locate the pen from 6mm away. I found myself holding the pen too high up from the surface when moving around the screen. When I press down the pen to click or draw, the pen often lands a short distance away from where I want. I wish I could customize it to be less sensitive. Other than that, pretty much everything is customizable, globally or per application!
Overall, it's a great tool for every photoshop user.

TopStrengths: great precision, intuitive, smooth, comfortable surface
Weakness: having to keep the pen suspended slightly above the surface makes my wrist hurt
This product is fantastic! I really like the way the pen feels against the smooth tablet surface. It makes drawing and editing paths very easy. I also like that it eliminates the need to click. (You click by touching the pen to the tablet.)
I was looking for alternatives to a mouse and found this useful, but it is hard to use for really long periods of time.

TopStrengths: It's extremely sensitive when drawing on the computer ( which personally I like about it, so I can add details.)
Weakness: Sometimes, while drawing in Corel Painter, when I am drawing in a large size the movements are slow. Which ends up confusing me.
I do like that I don't have to use a mouse pad anymore, which excites me. Though I don't know too much about it yet, I already love drawing with it. It will possibly also give me the leverage I need too get into a good art industry, since that's what I plan on doing in College. I would recommend this for others, because the good quality, sensitivity, and it's quite excitting when you get it.

Wacom Intous3 4x5 Graphics Tablet
Strengths: Ease of use, customizable through interface, programmable buttons on pad, sensitivity
Weakness: none
The read a review on this product that hit it right on the head and I must repeat what he said; "The first thing I thought was this is too good to be true. Then after I used it I thought, where has this thing been my whole life?"
That about sums it up. I like to use it for everything now, but if you do any kind of graphic design or video production, this is nothing short of a miracle. I use Adobe Premiere & After Effects with my video work and this is so much better than the mouse! It doesn't work on the same principle as the mouse as far as moving around the screen (by default). Basically the size of the pad is a miniature screen size, so no matter where you put the pen on the pad the cursor will appear at a relative point on the screen.
It takes a little bit to get used to it at first but don't worry, soon you'll be using it better than a mouse. I thought about getting the Graphire model but it felt like a toy compared to this one. Don't hesitate to shell out the $200 for this terrific device.
I must conclude by saying that I have been working with computers since they weren't cool in the late 90's and I can say without a doubt that the Intuos3 is the best thing that I've ever bought for a computer.
