Proprietary FORMAT BEWARE

Strengths:

Decent performance via USB, shiny

Weaknesses:

Proprietary Drive Enclosure

Posted 1 month ago - The Enclosure automatically creates a fake CDROM on your system for device software. Thus if you remove the drive (SATA 320GB WD 5400RPM) and attach it internally the drive will not be recognized and you can NOT recover your data. Thus if the enclosure ever fails, like you damage the small, uncovered USB hold, all your data is UNRECOVERABLE unless you purchase another IDENTICAL model. Thus I wouldn't recommend it for this purpose and thus is the reason I took the time to review this drive.
