Another Great Seagate Drive

Strengths:

1TB Size, 5 year warranty, Auto-backup software, Cool orange glowing activity indicator

Weaknesses:

No firewire, additional power needed

Posted 1 year ago - I needed a large drive to backup some files and portability was a bonus. This drive has been working great since I got it and I know it will last a long time since it is a Seagate. I didn't need the firewire and the power brick keeps it from drawing too much power on my usb ports, so the weaknesses don't bother me much. The orange line in the picture is a light that glows when the drive is being accessed. It adds a nice touch to an overall great drive.

Great product

Strengths:

An excellent hard drive with minimal noise,and a great transfer speed

Weaknesses:

I have not come across any so far

Posted 1 year ago - It is one of the excellent and most reliable external hard drive I have used.I had to earlier return my Cavalry one due to transfer errors

1TB rocks with FreeAgent Software

Strengths:

Fast Seagate 1TB (7200.10 series I think) drive 5 Year Warranty! Great FreeAgent Software for customizable, auto-backup

Weaknesses:

I don't know what the long-term longevity of the drive is, but it has a 5 year warranty! I'd like to upgrade the base in the future (to eSATA), but I'm not sure if you can buy them or for how much.

Posted 1 year ago - I really like the FreeAgent software, it offers great features of encryption, multiple backup copies and pruning (removing old copies), customizable backup of only what you want. Overall, a great reliable Seagate drive with USB2 connectivity and great included FreeAgent customizable auto-backup software. That's the main reason I bought it over the competition.

Posted 1 year ago - I like this Hard Drive. It is very protable and holds a lot of data. You can not beat the 5 year warrenty Seagate give you. If you are looking for a protable drive that holds a lot of data you can not go wrong with this unit.
