Sennheiser HD 515 Headphones

Strengths: Great sound quality; lightweight and the fit is so comfortable, you forget they're on

Weakness: Not the most attractive design I saw around, but the other features more than make up for it

We needed these headphones for a listening program through Advanced Brain Technologies. This unit was one of the three they recommended. I called Sennheiser (the product information person there was very helpful) and he said that although it was less expensive than the other Sennheiser model ABT recommended, it was better for portable CD players, etc. Then I looked on Pricegrabber to find the best price.

Sennheiser Audiophile HD 515 Headphone

Strengths: Excellent sound quality

Weakness: None.

I use the headphones to listen to CDs on my home stereo and find the sound quality excellent. Music sounds crystal clear and crisp through these. These are lightweight and designed very well; I really like the anti-tangle cord too.

Sennheiser Audiophile HD 515 Headphone

Strengths: Clear Sound. High Quality. Low Price

Weakness: Too many models by Sennheiser. Makes it confusing to find the right one.

The HD515 are new model medium-priced headphones .
So given the popularity of Sennheiser phones.
I thought it a good idea to share my impressions with you.

Much has been discussed on the looks of these new headphones. Personally I like their design quite a lot.
The slim oval shape of the earcups and the nice curve of the earcup suspension give these phones a very distinct face. The grill on the HD515 has less appeal to me but I guess some people will like their slightly faster looks. The phones are pretty light-weight (9 ounces) and the velour paddings are relatively comfortable. All parts are user replaceable.

The bass on the HD555 ($50 more) has slightly better definition and the treble seems to be a little bit cleaner. But for everybody on a small budget the HD515 is a very nice alternative for its more expensive sister.

Treble is crisp and clean. Not too foward. The bass is
good, but great. This phone is verynice, for the price.
I paid $70.00. Use price grabber to find the best price.

I recommend giving the headphones about a 50 hours break in period for best resutls.

Sennheiser Audiophile HD 515 Headphone

Strengths: Excellent, crisp sound.

Weakness: No weaknesses have yet to be found during the lenght of time I have owned them.

Sennheiser is a great manufacturer and I would recommend them again for their headphone products. These headphones are perfect for the price and arrived on time as expected from the seller.

Don't waste your money on anything else

Strengths: Sound, comfort, sound, comfort, sound, comfort...

Weakness: none at all, price for some, but they will change their minds when they get them home.

I've been using Sennheiser headphones for about 17 years I would say. I have 3 pair now, my very very old HD40 still sound great, and my HDR65 wireless headphones are going on 2 years old now and still have great battery life range and great sound for wireless. My new HD515's are incredible, they fit so comfortably right out of the box and the sound is everything I've come to expect from Sennheiser. I honestly feel that spending half as much on something that won't give you the comfort is throwing your money away. These headphones will last year after year after year. Well thats all I got, I just really wanted to share how happy I was with my purchase, if only everything in life had such high standards.

hd 515

Strengths: excellent sound quality

Weakness: none

At this price the sound quality of these phones is really unbeatable. They are also lightweight and very comfortable to wear. I have quite big ears but still can use them for hours.

Great Headphones

Strengths: Great Sound!! Bass, Midrange And Highs all outstanding!!

Weakness: None

I've been using headphones for music listening for 40 some odd years and these are the best yet. I've tried them all Sony, Bose, Koss you name it, at this price you can't beet the sound quality.
