Strengths:

Great at cooling and dehumidifying.

Weaknesses:

Noisy, but not terribly. Also the lights are too bright for sleeping--must be covered at night.

Posted 4 months ago - I love this a.c....this is the first summer that I have slept well at night, and it's due to the ability to get my bedroom decently cool. It is a bit noisy, but it's more of a "white noise" that does not hamper sleeping at all. The lights are too bright, and I would seriously recommend to Edgestar that there be the ability to turn the lights off. Since there aren't, I have taped thin cardboard over the lights, and that helps immensely. One of the best parts of this air conditioner is that it hasn't increased my utility bill at all! I know this seems odd, and trust me, it is to me too, but I think it's because my other, previously sole, air conditioner was having to work so hard before, and using a lot of electricity in the process. Now I keep my bedroom door closed (the hottest room in my apartment) and the other a.c. gets a big break from that. It's a relief, because I expected a big jump in electricity use with the edgestar...what a great thing to find out that wasn't the case! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, and in fact already have!

Compact, light weight, very powerful yet quiet

Weaknesses:

I have found no mechanical weaknesses with the - EdgeStar Slimline 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner & Heater AP10000HW

Posted 1 year ago - I would recommend the EdgeStar 10,000 BTU Air Conditioner and Heater. This is my second on and if I need another I would not hesitate to buy a third unit.

Really good cooling/heating options,Easy installation, portability

Weaknesses:

Noisy, but not more than expected.

Posted 1 year ago - This will be my standard now for portable air in server rooms. Like it that much.Working good keep cool in my room but just have 2 level fan.Good cooling and heating capacity. price is very acceptable.
