5 Star Review Total Gym 1700 Club

l2041 - (August 08, 2006) All in all, I think this is the exerciser for me. Being a novice, I needed something that would help me with form, and learning how to do the exercises correctly. This unit exercises your entire body, not just certain parts. I'm hoping to tone, strengthen, and firm up. It looks easy on TV, and it is, but you certainly feel that it is working. I just started using it, and I can already feel it. I've seen pared down versions on TV shopping channels, etc., but the 1700 seems to be well worth the extra money. It's a solidly built machine with a lot of extras.

5 Star Review Total Body really works

edo1112 - (October 13, 2005) I have been interested in getting a compact gym for my condo and was very interested in the total gym advertised on TV. The cost of it changed my mind quickly but when I saw the similar features of the TOTAL BODY WORKS 5000 on-line selling at a tiny fraction of the TOTAL GYM price, I gave it a try. It really works great in strengthing & toning you whole body. I recommend this above any gym on the market as far as value is concerned.

4 Star Review Good equipment

unleaded - (February 18, 2006) This is a great piece of equipment, just got it the other day and finally got the chance to put it together. The instructions were very easy to understand and it was very easy to assemble. Like i mention earlier, this unit is very heavy, you'll get a workout just trying to store it somewhere. It is really great, the price for all that you get with the equipment. If you have a garage, or maybe a spare bedroom not being used, or maybe a building, shed maybe to set this up, that would be reccommended. Much easier to have it already set up then to have to take it apart and reassemble it when u want to reuse it again. I love mine, the excercises give you a great workout, and the glide board is wh

1 Star Review DO NOT BUY! DANGEROUS!!!

jbankston - (11/28/2009) We bought this for my then 4 year old son at Walmart 1 year ago. It took my husband and myself well over the three hours that it says it takes to assemble, more like 2 days! After we finished putting it together, it looked really nice. It was okay for my 4 year old to swing on it alone but when he had friends over and the three of them were swinging (total of maybe 95 pounds) it looked like it was going to fall apart. Just within the last month, my son was swinging on it by himself and the plastic coated wood were the monkey bars are that holds the swing set up completely broke. I am so thankful that he was not hurt but he could have been. We had put a lot of weather protectant on the bare wood to keep it from rotting, etc but the plastic coated wood is what ended up breaking. I am so extemely unhappy. There is a recall right now for the plastic coated wood, they will replace it. I don't want a replacement, I want my money back. Almost $600 spent and I don't even have a decent swing set. My son is really upset that it's broken and he hasn't been able to play on it. Please don't buy this for your child!!!

4 Star Review Great Door Frame Pull-up Bar

normietrice - (12/03/2008) The Iron Gym Bar is an affordable and easy solution to get pull-ups done in your house. The installation is straightforward and relatively painless. It's easy to put onto the door frame and does not appear to harm the frame in any way. One of the best things about this bar is that their are 3 sets of handles, allowing for many different kinds of pull-ups and chin-ups. Another positive is that there is no need to install anything to the door or door frame. One of the biggest downsides is the fact that you can't close the door of the door frame that the bar is attached to. This means you will have to manually remove the bar every time you need to close the door. Another negative is that the rubber bar that rests on the wall is staining the wall black where it is pressed down on. You can do push-ups and dips using the bar, but I have not really done those exercises that much with the bar. Overall, this is a great value and one of the best pull-up bars that I have tried.
