botany69 - (September 29, 2007) This is a Autocode meter means no coding required so less chances of error that affect accuracy. The design of meter is compact and comfortable having easy to use single function button. The meter draws blood (only a small qualtity 0.7 Microlitre) automatically (Sip-in-Action)and give accurate results in only 7 seconds. The best thing I like is the ulternate site testing (AST) function which give choice of multiple site testing like finger, palm, forearm and thigh. The only thing lacks in this meter is no computer database management but meter have a 450 test result memory so you can do averaging (7,14,21,28,69,90). Overall it work excellent I have no complain till now and I love to h

Jythra - (March 24, 2008) This is a nice kit for regular home usage. It takes only 5 seconds and the test is almost pain free. The readings are easy and consistent. It can store up to 480 test results and High and Low values of past 7 days. The kit comes with a pouch and a log book to record test results.

4 Star Review Diabetest (A1c) test Product Review

GailFreimann - (July 25, 2007) This test was easy to understand and administer. I was concerned that the lancet provided might be painful to use since it was described as a "finger nick" rather than the small finger prick of my glucose monitor test. There was virtually no pain or discomfort. The lancet was quick and sufficient to produce more than enough of a sample for the test. I was able to conduct both the A1c test and my morning glucose test from the same nick at the same time. The only concern I had was whether or not the several drops of blood required to fill the test circles overlapped since the instructions indicated you should not layer one drop on top of another. Test results were also provided very prom

3 Star Review Handheld Fat Loss Monitor HBF-306C

ewanko - (06/01/2009) The Omron Handheld Fat Loss Monitor is an affordable, compact device that quickly measures one's body fat percentage and body mass index (BMI). The unit uses the Bioelectrical Impedance Method to estimate body fat percentage based on personal data including height, weight, gender and age. Before owning this monitor, I use a Tanita weighing scale with a body fat analyzer to track my body fat percentage. I know that body fat percentage fluctuates throughout the day, so I try to measure it at around the same time everyday (after waking up in the morning, for example). I can never get the Tanita and Omron to read the same. My Tanita always reads lower than the Omron. Not really knowing which reading is more accurate, I use readings as directional info to track if my body fat is trending lower or higher day-to-day.

4 Star Review A bit clunky but good for older patients

qrx22 - (10/30/2008) This kit comes with the glucose meter, a detachable lancet device, 1 test drum, control solution, carrying case, and instructions. The unit itself is bulkier than other units (about 4.5" x 2" x 1"), and heavier too, but this could be a plus for older patients who have a hard time handling the smaller glucose meters. The size and shape is similar to a thick cell phone or one of those newer cordless phones. One of the advantages is that the lancet device attaches to the unit so there are less pieces to keep track of. Another bonus is that it includes a test drum in the kit, which can be used for 17 tests. For some people, handling the drum is a lot easier than handling test strips. Also another good thing is it uses standard AAA batteries. Overall if you don't mind the large size and heavier weight (or even if you prefer it) it seems like a good choice.

4 Star Review Accu-check glucose monitoring system review

dear_hardik - (10/28/2008) I bought this one three months back and it gives reliable results. It helps out in knowing sugar level immediately without need doctor's appointment. I have chekced it against doctor's number and it gives results in same ball park. Only drawback so far is the strips. They are expensive.
