twodaend - (July 27, 2004) Originally I had my eye on the 760, but when this system came out and offered a larger sub, even more powerful speakers and more connections, I had to go for it. This is my first Home Theater System and after about a week of playing around with this system I'm really glad I purchased it. Firstly, I'm glad I decided to have it delivered rather than to pick it up my self. I could not believe the size of the box, it was not at all what I was expecting. However after getting everything out of the box, the setup was very easy. Everything is color-coded so finding the right speaker to connect to the right wire to connect to the right connection on the receiver was very simple. Even the

netman88 - (November 24, 2004) After spending many weeks researching for a home theatre system, I noticed that the Bose GS II 321 system gives the best surround under $1500. The difference between the Bose GS II compared to the Bose II is the better GS (Gemstone) speakers. I recommend the GS speakers since there's a real noticable difference in sound clarity and smaller size. Others systems like Sony, Kenwood, Polk, Onkyo and others didn't come close in loudness with sound clarity. There is a good balance of bass and treble and not too much of either. IMO, it plays it as it was meant to be played. It's also improved from the previous release. The setup is very simple if you follow the hookup instructi

grefuture - (June 09, 2004) The first thing I noticed is the small size of the speakers, which was a plus for me. Then when I finally set it all up (it took about 2 hours or so, due to my difficulty figuring out how to play the video sound via the receiver), I was thouroughly impressed with the sound, especially w/5.1, which is what I desired. It filled the room w/o being painfully loud. The distortion (or lack there of) was excellent. A good buy.

3 Star Review great when it's working

Kailani - (09/13/2009) I've had this system for 11 months. It worked great, nice sound, but then one day the tray for the CD's wouldn't retract fully into the receiver so it was useless for playing dvds. I was really happy to realize it is still under warranty, so I went online to Samsung and filled out the request for service. Part of the form said it costs $55 dollars to ship the unit to them, which is ridiculous - it's very light, so I chose the option that said I'd ship it myself. After filling out their long form and scanning my original receipt for them a little box popped up that said to wait because it was "processing". Well, I waited for 1/2 an hour. Noone's website it THAT slow, so I went through the whole process again. Same result. I emailed their customer service dept 10 days ago and haven't heard anything back. Now I'm online looking to just buy another receiver. So, it works great if it's working, but don't expect anything from the 1 year warranty.
