Homecenter.com is a fraudulent business. The item I ordered
was discontinued and never shipped from the manufacturer. They charged me a 40% fee to cancel, 25% for restocking + 15% for return authorization, even though the product was never stocked or returned. Homecenter uses home improvement only as a disguise for their real business, FEES.
After he steals your money, the owner of Homecenter points to his policy page as fair warning. As bad as his policy page reads, it's worse. He violates his own policies to justify larger fees. In my case, he canceled his order with the manufacturer without fee to him, yet insisted that in virtual reality, my order had been shipped and returned, thereby subjecting it to a 40% fee.
In fairness, the owner did offer to reduce the fee to 25% if I would agree not to dispute the charges. I didn't, so now he refers to the 15% portion of the 40% fee as an unauthorized dispute fee. Calling it an unauthorized return became too ridiculous even for him. Retailer Response (12/27/2010): Hi Dennis, I just reviewed the situation. This order shipped to us from the manufacturer. You cancelled it just before it was about to be shipped to you. So, we returned the items back to the vendor, and paid the restocking fees associated with a return to the vendor. Therefore, as I told you in my email, we could cancel the order before it shipped to you, but not before it shipped to us. So therefore, you could accept the items by allowing us to ship them to you, or you could make a return to the vendor and incur the fees. The choice was yours. You chose the latter. I gave you clear options, and you decided to try a third route. |

THESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS!!! They sent me a broken faucet. It took them 30days to contact me about sending the broken faucet back. Every time I try to contact them they do not reply to any of my emails. The phone option for customer services never picks up. The option for the returns department simply disconnects your call. The sales people refuse to connect you to anyone in customer support and simply transfer the call to a number the is never answered. To make matters worse there is no 1-800 numbers. They do not have any replacement faucets in stock to send me so I asked for my money back. They are now charging me a 25% re-stocking fee (about 100$) for the broken faucet they sent me because it is considered a return even if I wanted a replacement but they didn't have one. It is now over two months and they have both the broken faucet and all my money. Do not order from this company or you will be sorry!! |

I got this item so fast that I had to write a review. I'm so happy with my new Legend Kitchen Sink. I found it on Homecenter.com, and am happy with the service and the quality of the product. |

HORRIBLE. These people are crooks and should be avoided at all cost. I received a broken composite sink, called immediately to have it replaced. They (finally) picked it up (after a second call). Then they refused to send me a new one stating that I either had to pay a second time or wait up to 3 months for them to get reimbursed for the broken (returned) sink. Essentially, they refused to send me a new sink or refund me. I finally had to get my bank involved. I strongly suspect that these people are fraudulent. |

Service provided by P------ for ordering was very good. However, composite sink arrived damaged (cracked). Inadequate packing protection. No "fragile" labels on outside of box - yet inner Blanco box noted fragile... Ended up having to re-order and pay for 2nd replacement sink. Second sink arrived damaged as well !! After some research, I determined Blanco notes to AVOID SHIPPING composite sinks with UPS in their order catalogue! HomeCenter told me they would not offer me a full refund for the TWO sinks that I had ordered since I was not going to re-order a THIRD sink. Given this problem is caused by HomeCenter, seems a bit unreasonable - would rate ZERO stars if it was an option. |

Returned item but was never reimbursed. Worse experience ever. We ordered a kitchen sink at a very good price and it was delivered fine. Our renovation plans changed, however, so we decided to eat the crazy restocking fee and return the sink. After the painful ordeal of getting an RMA #, we followed the return procedure exactly. They never gave us ANY money back! Even after we managed to get through to the terrible customer service, nothing. I should have just sold it on eBay because now I have nothing and am out over a hundred dollars. |

The prices at homecenter.com are very good and I decided to buy from them in spite of homecenter.com having no rating. I was assured that my entire order of kitchen faucet, garbage disposer and air gap would arrive no later than 16 days (11/16/07) if I paid $55.80 for 3 Day UPS delivery(regular UPS Ground was free). I checked the UPS tracking system and found that my order won't arrive until 11/26/07. My family was to host Thanksgiving dinner this year, but thanks to the dishonest and condescending people at homecenter.com we have no water in our kitchen. After many phone calls, most of which went unreturned, My salesperson finally and rudely returned $15.85 of the $55.80. I think they offer attractive pricing on items they do not have or that they can easily get. They take the customer's money and then start trying to find the product. If you don't mind waiting a month or more buy from them, but beware...I will not buy from them again no matter how low the price may be. |
