nujwhotmail - (December 02, 2005) After a month and a half, this unit will only operate for ten minutes at a time. I've passed through the 30-day return policy at the store, and Venta offers absolutely no customer assistance. Yes, they have a 1-800 number, but it's only to keep you on perma-hold. DO NOT purchase this until they make an actual commitment to long-term quality and customer service.

sfcy999 - (December 05, 2007) This warm mist humidifier is one of the newest model from Vick's. I decided to buy this humidifier because of the brand name & the features it offered. I immediately start using it, the minute I took it home. The GOODS: -The unit was very simple to operate. You just need to fill the container with water, turn on the power & set the desired humidity level & that's it. -I really like UV light inside the unit that kill all the bacterias. -And the mineral filter that absorb all the un-wanted minerals. -Just the right amount of warm mist that comes out. -The water does not leak out of container. -It also has a medicine cup on top. -Easy enough to clean. protruckdriver71 - (February 14, 2007) I absolutely love this humidifier. I have had it for about a year now and it has moistened up the house perfectly. It is very easy to operate and to refill. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD LOOKING HUMIDIFIER THAT IS DEPENDABLE AND WORKS GREAT AND DON'T WANT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY.

1btminer1 - (02/27/2009) The unit would evaporate nearly 2 gallons over night when purchased. After 30 days, it is only evaporating about 1 gal overnight. I got what I paid for.

rg7890 - (02/22/2009) The "Carefree" name is completely wrong. Salt from water builds up all over the interior of the unit. The worst of the buildup is up around the motor, in places that are impossible to clean. This probably is a safety hazard, too. The water in the main part of the unit must be dumped twice a week to limit the salt buildup. It puts out about 2 gallons per day, but it holds only one gallon, so it must be filled twice per day. This is WAY more troublesome than a 'standard' paper wick evaporator.

nealhere - (02/08/2009) I have one of these now. It pops and cracks, gurgles and buzzes through the night. I am now looking for one that is less work and more sleep during the night. Girlfriend hates it. You will too. all the best zzzzzzzzzzzz.
