The IOGear smart pen stores hand written notes on any surface to its internal memory and then can later transfer them to a PC or Mac. There is no need for special notebooks or ink with the IOGear smart pen. The IOGear is a revolutionary device that seems to have potential, but still lacks in certain areas – the pen only records handwritten notes, which then must be uploaded onto the computer. The entire process is beneficial for large amounts of notes, but average university notes can just as easily be scanned onto the computer with a scanner. The ink port is very small and has to be replaced regularly, which can be a problem because it is a hard to find a refill. At a price of around $65 the IOGear smart pen is a great gadget that can be useful for heavy note takers that need a digital backup of their notes. - Read Full Review
