yikes - (October 25, 2004) With it, I can switch between my MAC and PC with a push of the button (DVI, USB, audio). However, I can not get it to work properly with my Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse set, as it only take up one USB slot. If I attempt to do so, the damn DVI switch start to beep loudly. Only by plug in another mouse would it shut up. I called Belkin, was advised no fix available for it. Their phone, mail, and email customer support has been great. Fast and prompt. So now I am back to my wired keyboard and use the wirless mouse only.

jimcast - (June 14, 2004) *It is nearly impossible to connect a cable to the console DVI Connector. (Belkin is overnighted an adapter so I could connect to the monitor) *The connecting the Power Adapter to the KVM, one of the peripheral USB ports is blocked by the cable *It's absolutely impossible to put on the cover (i.e. cable management cover) if you connect the four (Belkin) cables to it. *Connecting only two PCs with a resolution of 1600x1200 to the KVM resulted in green shadows for one connection. *The Microsoft Wireless Keyboard doesn’t work as stated in the manual. I did manage to plug in the wireless dongle USB connector to the mouse port but now I can’t use the hot-keys to switch between computers.

mrcritical - (January 17, 2006) This product would have been the answer to all of my problems if it weren't for a few fatal flaws; 1) It does not support 'multifunction' keyboards...their technical support informed me this includes any keyboards that include volume control, internet buttons, etc. You know, the kind that come with most modern PCs sold today. I don't use those buttons and keyboards are cheap - I'd be willing to just buy a new one except: 2) Mice with wheel buttons are not supported (according to their tech support, this also constitutes a 'multifunction' device)...so if you are a gamer (or just like the wheel button), prepare to replace your gaming mouse with a plain vanilla 2-button mouse.

Replaced another manufacturers KVM with this product in 2008.
linlu00 - (06/23/2009) I previously had another manufacturer's KVM product which also supported USB & PS/2 connections as well as provided an additional 2-port USB hub. That other device had problems which were blamed by the other manufacturer on the using a wireless mouse which by the way had been working fine for 30 days prior to that. The ATEN on the other hand has been trouble free. It simply works. Although it doesn't support the Logitech wireless mice I have tried, it does support every wired mouse I have plugged into it. I have also used their KVMs for my servers since 2004 (iirc) - usually stay powered on for several months at a time. Those have have also been rock solid (CS-228), never any trouble with those. Everytime I have tried using three other manufacturer's KVMs, I ended up replacing them with ATENs.

Inexpensive KVM but unuseable in my application
tlively41 - (05/12/2009) The biggest flaw for me is that I use a cherry keyboard with a credit card reader built in. Every time I read a credit card the device switches to the other computer and I have to use the buttons on the box to switch back to complete the transaction. In this application this KVM is worse than useless. I will need to purchase a different unit for my needs.

Wise User - (04/20/2009) I have this unit at work and it is painfully slow in switching between computers. It comes with the cables , wich are used for usb mouse , usb keyboard and VGA Connector. It has a good feature where you can switch manually with the buttons on the unit. The drawback is that it is slow in switching between computers.
