5 Star Review Dymo Labelwriter 400 Turbo

Strengths:

Simple to set up and easy to operate

Weaknesses:

powercord comes out too easily

Posted Oct 9, 2005 - The package is well designed with diagrams showing the way to open and set up the labelwriter. One diagram is of the items in the package which makes it easy to go to the set up. Inserting the install CD the insturctions come up and within a few minutes I was ready to go. After a call to tech support, who was excellent, I opened the software, test printed a label from the sample address book. It was easy then to set up my own address book and print a label.

5 Star Review LabelWriter 400

Strengths:

Great performance. Worth every dime I spent on it.

Weaknesses:

None

Posted May 2, 2006 - This little machine is absolutely wonderful. I do income taxes and have all kinds of addresses that have to be printed out. I save them in the address book and it just takes a second to print out the right label. No more running envelopes through the printer and having to type all the information on them each time or putting sheets of labels in just to print one or two. Even during my off season I seem to use it daily. Get one today! You'll love it! You owe this to yourself believe me.

5 Star Review DYMO LABELWRITER 400 TURBO

Strengths:

Speed, accuracy, quiet

Weaknesses:

None

Posted Dec 22, 2005 - The label writer has made my life so much easier! I am an eBay seller and ship out a lot of items. Before I got the Label Writer, I had to print postage on regular paper, cut it out, then paste it onto a package. Very time consuming! Now, I just tell the Label Writer to print my postage and it prints in about one nano-second -- no problems, postage prints beautifully and I just peel and stick it right onto my packages. This little machine is simply AWESOME. I love it so much that I bought a second one for my other computer!!

4 Star Review Best purchase for holiday season

Strengths:

Works perfect with stamps.com No toner needed Print labels easily and fast very light weight easy installment good quality of printing

Weaknesses:

Only compatible with dymo label products high price compared to Brother label writer

Posted Nov 19, 2005 - The dymo 400 turbo can be easily installed and used. You don't need to change toners since it's thermal printing. It also works perfect with stamps.com if you are interested. The only complaint is the printer's sensor recognizes the end of the lable by a small hole between labels. Therefore, only dymo label products are compatible.

5 Star Review ~Outstanding~

Strengths:

Precise and very quick...

Weaknesses:

At this time, none

Posted May 15, 2006 - As the world turns with being young and restless, technology stands still for no one. Here in the Louisiana area, the company uses the LabelWriter 400 Turbo mainly for security reasons to have visitors, clients and vendors presence clear known.

4 Star Review Nice writer

Weaknesses:

Posted Mar 23, 2006 - Speedy, handy, easy. What more could you want? Labels have a professional appearance. Useful for mailing labels, folders, ID cards, storage boxes and more. One label at a time prevents waste, especially when compared to printing an entire sheet of labels on a laser printer.

4 Star Review A sellers dream come true

Strengths:

Fast printing, no ink required, labels are inexpensive

Weaknesses:

Labels may be small for some items, cost

Posted Nov 28, 2005 - The people of DYMO didn't just put the words TURBO on this for no reason. This printer can print 55 labels per minute - and thats a fact. Good quality, fast printing make this printer hard to resist - except when you see the price. For a tiny device, this machine will cost you roughly> $100 - a lot for most people to shell out. Luckily, there is no use of ink on this machine which really reduces the overall long term cost, and you can get about 200 labels for about $10. Check the label sizes to make sure the maximum one isn't too small for your use. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product - especially for Ebay sellers.

5 Star Review The cutest little thing

Strengths:

Small, cute and powerful

Weaknesses:

expensive

Posted Nov 19, 2005 - My hubby and I went to the store to buy a labler. I couldn't resist to buy this one although it is a little more expensive than our budget. It is small and cute, but has all the founctions we need. Recommend to every one!

5 Star Review Dymo Labelwriter 400 Turbo

Strengths:

Very fast, prints label in only seconds

Weaknesses:

Can't think of any.

Posted Jul 29, 2007 - I have been using Dymo Labelwriters since I had my first Macintosh. They are easy to install and don't take up much space on my desk. I wouldn't think of trying any other type.

1 Star Review Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo

Strengths:

not many

Weaknesses:

Poor product, labels gets stuck all the time, CD labels are a joke.

Posted Mar 29, 2007 - They call it CD label but it is less than 2" in diameter so you can barely appreciate it. The labels got stuck all the time. The machine software malfunctioned and I had to reinstall it. Smart paste worked once and did not work next five times. The labels got caught in the machine more often than it printed out. over all this is a sorry piece of junk. I would not buy this even if it were for 50 dollars.

5 Star Review Nice Looking and Small

Strengths:

easy to use; nice compact size; looks nice; easy label tear-off; no ink cartridge to run out of ink at a bad time!

Weaknesses:

haven't found any yet

Posted Jan 21, 2007 - I have been using a Brother QL-500, but it doesn't work with the postage labels required by stamps.com. I purchased this machine for that purpose. It was very easy to hookup to the computer, and I was printing labels within 5 minutes.

5 Star Review Solidly built label maker

Strengths:

Thermal printer, clear and accurate, rock solid and stable

Weaknesses:

Expensive replacement labels

Posted Dec 30, 2005 - Heavy than I thought, but very stable for printing. Very easy to install with my laptop. No problem at all. Thermal printing which eliminates ribbons or cartridges. This is a good thing because replacement labels are not cheap. Label outputs are very clear and sharp. Can print a lot different label styles with available software. Got this on sale, excellent buy.
