This does exactly what it is supposed to. It is simple, it keeps the laptop cool and it is quiet.
None that I can see.
Posted Jan 26, 2005 - Laptops are notorious for overheating, especially the Sony Vaio, like I have. Mine had gotten so bad that it would eventually just shut down. I had considered returning it (I had gotten the extended warranty) for repair. I read about overheating problems with laptops, so I blew out the cooling ports with canned air, which helped slightly, but not enough. I then ran across some comment about a cooling pad and started looking about and came across this one. It gave me a brand new computer. Now it really does perform like the 2GZ computer that it is. The pad is thin, easily hooks up to a USB port and is similar to a docking station. The only downside, if there is one, is that it does raise the computer up about 3/4", but I haven't found that to be a problem. It is a highly recommended solution to overheating problems and it's so simple, hardly anything could possibly go wrong.
