Good Price, Works Fine, But Not What I Expected
1) Crucial Brand 2) PC3200
1) Cheaper Chips than before 2) Doesn't like overclocking at all
Posted Aug 4, 2007 - I bought one of these from a store about 2-3 months ago. That stick had Micron chips (Crucial supposedly uses Micron, quality chips on their RAM), and it had a decent overclock (I only needed a few MHz extra for a divider). However, the stick I bought recently (from a reputable store) had the same part number but had cheaper generic Samsung chips. They work fine, but don't overclock as well and did not meet my expectations of more Micron chips. In essence, the price is good for DDR PC3200, but be wary that Crucial may be changing over to supposedly lower quality memory to keep prices low. Thus I give it 4 stars, as it works as it should, but is not what it is supposed to be.
