After having my TX650 for almost 2 years, it started freezing up when moved slightly. I went through all the trouble shooting that Sony suggested, then it still froze. Next time I tried to start it, it would not boot up. I sent it to Sony repair and they say it needs a new motherboard for $699.+shipping. Considering its original costs, and the limited amount of use it gets (only when I travel or sometimes when I am watching tv)that is a very expensive convenience in my book. Anyone else having any similar problems? Should I have NOT sent it to Sony? When it works, it is great, but I have never had this kind of problem with any computer before...I always end up upgrading before the darn thing wears out!
